County Commissioner Mike Beaudreau isweighing his options.

“I’ve received a tremendous amount of correspondence via phone, email and personally,” he said. “It’s been an honor to be a public servant for going on six years at the county. I have to figure out whether the people want me to continue to serve there or somewhere else.”

Beaudreau said he has a website, mikebeaudreau.com, to field public sentiment and determine whether he could raise enough money to mount a Congressional campaign.

“I’ve got serious discussions with my family and others before I decide,” he said. “Some folks looking at that race have a lot of money in the bank. I don’t. But, in 2004, I got outspent 6-to-1. I’ve never been afraid of running against money.”

I like Beaudreau and will vote for him if Shafer doesn’t announce.

That’s assuming either one of ‘em jump in.

I like Mike, though I no longer reside in the district, either Mike or Shafer would make great Congressmen.

Shafer or Beaudreau hands down. You have to love a guy like Beaudreau who is passionate about public service. Even if you sometimes disagree with the man, he’s all heart and that counts for a lot.

Don Balfour is the kind of self serving politician that we need to be voting out not voting into Congress. He may very well have a ton of money in the bank, but the man is just plain wrong for Congress. I’m not sure there is room, to be honest, for his tremendous self serving ego.
