Rep. David Casas To Hold Town Hall Meeting

Another State Rep. will hold a Town Hall Meeting in Gwinnett. David Casas of Lilburn will hold the meeting on Monday.

WHEN: Monday, January 25th from 7–8:30pm.
WHERE: Empire State Pizza and Dogs, 2948 Five Forks Trickum Road, Lawrenceville

Georgia State Representative David Casas (R-Lilburn) will host a Town Hall meeting this month to update his constituents on the 2010 Legislative Session.

“One of my top priorities is communicating with my constituents. I want to hear their issues and share my vision for Georgia, especially in regards to strong education policies and school choice.”

Casas is the author of HB 1133, The Tuition Tax Credit bill which became law in 2008. This bill enables individuals to contribute $1,000 and couples $2,500 annually to non-profits that offer scholarships to public school students to attend private schools. He was also the House co-sponsor for The Georgia Special Needs Scholarship, SB 10, will provides state-funded scholarships to disabled pupils in public schools to attend another public school or transfer to a private school.

    I hope that Representative Casas will remind the other legislators from Gwinnett that we are not interested in any new taxes!
