Beware the Census Scam

I know people who were scammed by fake census takers.

Forms for the 2010 U.S. Census won’t be mailed until March, but officials already are warning people to beware of potential scams.

Georgia’s Better Business Bureau said Wednesday that a bogus e-mail in circulation claims it’s from the bureau and tells recipients to give census takers no more information than how many people live in the household.

All they are constitutionally entitled to are the number of people living in your home. NOTHING ELSE.

That is true.

However, they also use the census to reapportion funds to certain groups for certain activities. If you don’t let them count you properly, your “group” (whatever group you fall into) is under-counted and other groups will get more. So, go ahead and let them only count the number of people living in your home and then tell them to go away. Please.

My “group” doesn’t get anything but the bill. ;-)

Trust me, you did. You just don’t know which group you were a part of….

I love it. Spread the word throughout all the right-wing whackadoo states in the South: Don’t participate in the Census! It’s a socialist Obamaplot! Listen to your godess Michele Bachman! Ignore the census!

End result: More congressional seats for us progressives. You go, wingnuts!

Why does the ooogedy-boogedy conservative crowd insist on biting the hand that hands most of them their food stamps?

A bunch of silly ungrateful “children of unwed mothers”.

Yes, but at least we were actually born. By the way, how do you cook your food stamps?

GodHatesTrash January 17, 2010 at 9:03 am

Nice attempt at hijacking the thread.

Born?

I believe the correct term is “whelped”.

Back to the topic, though. Why do the vast majority of southern whites hate the federal gummint so much, since without the feds most of you would be living in even worse squalor?

I fear your disconnect from reality is also not a part of this thread. Thanks, though, for admitting you were whelped. I didn’t want to come right out and say so.

Back to the actual thread topic: Does anyone actually remember reports of any of these “scammers” being arrested?
