Hardie Davis and Harold V. Jones II are headed to a runoff February 2.
With 4,456 votes, Mr. Davis had 48.42 percent, falling short of the needed majority. Mr. Jones got 39.99 percent, with 3,680 votes.
Taylor Bryant, a Libertarian running against three Democrats, took 9.14 percent with 841 votes. Sandra Scott received 223 votes, or 2.42 percent.
A libertarian taking down 9% in that district is something to get excited about….isn’t it?
It is almost double what I expected; but that’s in a race with both R’s and D’s. So I guess 9% is about right.
I, for one, would’ve liked to see Bryant win. From what I hear, Senator Chip Rogers holds the same sentiment.
