Cole withdraws from SOS consideration

Rep. Jim Cole changes his mind on SOS appointment —

He was Gov. Sonny Perdue’s choice to replace Karen Handel as secretary of state, but will stay in his current job as assistant athletic director at Mercer University, informed sources say; Perdue will have to look elsewhere for a replacement.

As stated earlier most times the prudent thing to do is sit back and let things develope and play out before making hasty decisions or assumptions……

wow – although I guess he could have still taken the appointment, and just not run as an incumbant… Guess he wanted to keep his “safe” seat…

Perdue should use PeachPundit in the future to vet his appointments. He could avoid future embarrassment. I wonder if Cole spoke with Mark Burkhalter about the increased scrutiny he was bringing on himself ?
