Congrats, Eric Johnson, Fantasy King

After 15 weeks of hard fought action, including 13 grueling weeks of regular season contests, squeaking into the runoffs playoffs as the dark horse team, Eric Johnson has emerged as the victor in the first Peach Pundit Fantasy Football Invitational Tournament.

And, as such, he is awarded the virtual PPFFIT trophy shown here.

David Shafer is the first runner up, and would probably like to have a few words with Indianopolis Colts management after watching Peyton Manning sit on the bench when he should have been passing for touchdowns – and valuable FF points.

Karen Handel, who owned this league during the regular season, regained her winning form in the bronze medal round against John Monds to earn a third place overall finish.

We again thank all of our willing participants, and look forward to another round of Fantasy Football next year. One more personal thank you goes to league commissioner Doug Deal, who managed this group of enemy combatants through this season with minimal controversy.

Full results/standings after the jump.

Eric Tweets – RT: @PeachPundit “Johnson emerged as the victor in the 1st PP Fantasy Football Tournament.” A come-from-behind win! A foreshadow in 2010.

Eric – 4th place in July means you stay home.

Yes, I do think we should talk about the other fantasy league award that was given out – my second place finish in the Commoners League!

Thanks to everyone that voted for me!

Your performance in the Open league was an inspiration to all of us.
