Jenny Hodges Responds to McBerry

Jenny has responded.

Dear Friends,

No doubt you are rather shocked at the news which Ray sent out to the McBerry campaign. I was in fact fired. For the past several weeks, some things have unfolded such that I was very heavy hearted and not wanting to continue in my role. The product which I had signed on to sell no longer existed. I was torn because I didn’t want to let y’all down but I wasn’t sure if I would do that by staying or going. Today Ray made that decision for me.

I look forward to continuing to advance life and liberty. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve had to serve with all of you. I know that we will continue to strive together in the cause of freedom.

Love, Jenny

No threadjacking allowed.

This is your last warning.

Thanks,

The Management.

AthensRepublican December 19, 2009 at 4:55 pm

What about a name like Smith? Not disagreeing with your analysis on Ken Hodges, but please…what does the last name have to do with it?

Doug Deal December 19, 2009 at 5:16 pm

Icarus, Jason, Chris, Erick or whomever, can you clean up this threadjack on aisle 5.

John Konop December 19, 2009 at 5:52 pm

Doug,

You are now the DIRTY HARRY of the PP!

Do you feel lucky, punk?

John Konop December 19, 2009 at 10:44 pm

LOL

Doug Deal December 19, 2009 at 11:20 pm

Well, do you?

Lawful Money December 19, 2009 at 5:56 pm

Now that’s funny :-)

Chris December 21, 2009 at 10:11 am

I only clean up threadjacks in threads of importance.

There is nothing worthwhile in any thread about McKookBerry or Pre-Nutty Jenny.

Jack Smith December 19, 2009 at 6:13 pm

Gee, thanks.

BTW, I’ve never intentionally “threadjacked” before, so I’m not certain of what you’re referring.

Since we have discussed ethics her for roughly two weeks I had mis-assumed the issue was relevant to other state offices. Sorry for the threadjacking.

Now back to discussing Jenny Hodges.

Doug Deal December 19, 2009 at 5:18 pm

If you do not mind Jenny, what about “the product” no longer existed?

Jack Smith December 19, 2009 at 5:21 pm

It speaks volumes about what politics has degenerated to that we’re packaging “products” rather than supporting candidates.

Jeff December 19, 2009 at 5:25 pm

She means that McBerry has genuinely been getting better about not going off the deep end every two seconds.

I think his record is currently up to about 20 min or so, which means if he is giving a 10-15 min stump speech he may actually be able to come off quite well!

If Jenny had her way, he couldn’t speak an entire sentence without going off the deep end.

Doug Deal December 19, 2009 at 5:37 pm

I was just using her term. I am sure she was using it as a metaphor. It would be a very boring world without figures of speech and just people speaking literally.

Jack Smith December 19, 2009 at 6:17 pm

Unfortunately, if it was a metaphor, it’s all too close to reality. In an age of poll-testing, triangulation, Morris, Carville, Axelrod and Plouffe, it’s hard to imagine that Jenny either wasn’t speaking literally or had a Freudian slip.

LOL!

Gold Star to Jack Smith.

John Konop December 19, 2009 at 5:48 pm

Jenny, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for you and your family and I hope you do keep posting here.

IndyInjun December 19, 2009 at 6:40 pm

What?

No more “Just Jenny’s”

Dirty Harry instead?

What’s this place coming to?

Life and Liberty December 19, 2009 at 7:07 pm

It’s a Feativus miracle!

Life and Liberty December 19, 2009 at 7:39 pm

grrr. I do not like the iPhone optimized PP :/
I meant to type “Festivus”, and it should have posted *here*.

That being said, and in the spirit and tradition of ‘Airing of Grievances’…
as a McBerry volunteer who has eaten more than a meal or 2 with all parties involved, I did really genuinely believe our team to be a *Family* that moved like an army.
That such a rift has formed in our family is truly discouraging to me, no matter how I look at it. It is a setback for the cause of individual Liberty.
As I watch this happen, I have to wonder- how much of this is just an issue of ego and pride? I know- the stakes are huge, and I certainly do not understand all the nuance of politics. Hell, I might be being played *right now*, but I do know that I am here for such a time as this. I will not bend. I just don’t look too forward to 2 Christmas dinners :/

Life and Liberty December 19, 2009 at 7:40 pm

why won’t my comment post @ the bottom?

sonofliberty December 19, 2009 at 11:05 pm

…..it may be iPhone optimized PP…..but I can no longer access “comments” ….or post a comment on my Blackberry Bold…….please fix….breve tempore!!

Game Fan December 19, 2009 at 11:28 pm

I wouldn’t sweat it. Seriously. Just stick to your guns (whatever they are) and let the free market decide. Like I’ve said, the McBerry camp is going to contain lots of diverse folks since he’s “unauthorized”. That’s just the way it is. This is no problem once you ditch the “control” mentality.

Game Fan December 20, 2009 at 6:18 pm

Now how the heck does this get a “thumbs down”? I thought that was conservatism/representative government 101. In fact the only way someone would “change” their own beliefs to match the “candidate” is if they didn’t believe in much to begin with. And folks, Game Fan’s beliefs haven’t changed much since ’06. But I have made a slight adjustment to my feelings about rollerblading after seeing this video.

D’OOOOOH!

Steve Perkins December 19, 2009 at 8:11 pm

It seems like there’s a juicy scandal here, and I’m TRYING to care… but it’s kind of like watching Argentina vs. Estonia competing against each other in Olympic archery.

acoalson December 19, 2009 at 8:18 pm

I attend to agree…the truth will come out in the end. It always does.

Elin is Hot December 20, 2009 at 12:48 am

Anyone notice the name of that cafe is “ACORN?”

Lifetime367 December 20, 2009 at 1:54 pm

Why does anyone care this much about some obscure former staffer for an even more obscure candidate?

joe December 20, 2009 at 2:49 pm

Cause so far, Just Jenny has been the only 100% honest thing about any of the campaigns.

Elin is Hot December 21, 2009 at 12:46 pm

Honesty is a bad thing. Especially in politics. Not good at all.

Game Fan December 20, 2009 at 6:01 pm

Jenny
I think I know how we can capitalize on all the controversy. Do you have any experience fighting in steel cage matches?

Game Fan December 20, 2009 at 10:53 pm

Why do they call it a “steel cage”? What other kind of cage is there?

Ken in Eastman December 21, 2009 at 12:11 am

Game Fan,

Why do they call it a “steel cage”? What other kind of cage is there?

LOL!

The quote comes from Webber and it’s iron cage.

A rather negative comment on the United States if I’m remembering at all correctly.

Mad Dog
I was referring to this. :)

She has friends?

Icarus December 20, 2009 at 8:33 pm

Yep. I’m one of them.

Ken Stepp December 21, 2009 at 6:57 am

Always a sad day when a dream dies. I wish Jenny well. I do not believe this will make a difference in McBerry’s run. He isn’t pulling out of the “back pack”. This seems like a 3 person race. I would bet (if I liked gambling) that it comes down to Handel and Oxendine anyway. Watch the headlines & news. They will be the fuel to change the numbers. It will boil down to who has the least trash in their past between Deal & Oxendine. Leaving Handel room to run. The question is ,will it be enough ? Should be fun to watch.

NorthGAGOP December 21, 2009 at 9:31 am

Good Luck Jenny

WhiteWill December 24, 2009 at 10:15 am

What exactly happened to cause the fall out?????
