Linger Longer Left

I have to wonder if Linger Longer’s pet legislator has gotten caught with his pants down or something.

From The AJC:

The company hired to help redevelop Jeykll Island’s beachfront has pulled out of the partnership.

Linger Longer Communities said Tuesday their decision was “due to the uncertainty of the economic environment and the difficulty that this uncertainty imposes on a workable development schedule.”

The Jekyll Island Authority, the state entity responsible for maintaining and operating the publicly owned island, said the decision was mutual.

Linger Longer is owned by the politically influential Reynolds family, developers of the upscale Reynolds Plantation about a 90 minute drive east of Atlanta. The company’s hiring by the Jekyll Island Authority in late 2008 was criticized by some as a sweetheart deal that will enrich the Reynolds family but won’t return as much profit to the state.

As Debbie says below, Chapman was the only senator or representative blowing the whistle. He has integrity on this issue and a number of others.

Eric Johnson and Jerry Keen. You are correct Ludwig, Senator Chapman was the only man placing himself in front of the Republican leadership firing squad over the Linger Longer deal. The Linger Longer deal otherwise known as The Screwing of the People of Georgia for the benefit of the Republican Elite!

Funny how Eric Johnson resigns his senate seat, then his major contributors back out of the Jekyll deal, guess they didn’t have Eric there to provide air cover.

I think the Chapman campaign is trying to reach the intelligent voter Ready2, so just let it go.

Haha…the democrats or ACORN could use you guys. You would rather act like a fool than use Yahoo like a 8 year old.
