Erickson to appear on Colbert Report

by Pete Randall on December 6, 2009

Fresh from his cutting edge debate with Barbara Eden, head Peach Pundit honcho Erick Erickson has now set his sights on another media icon to tangle with: Stephen Colbert. As the Macon Telegraph is reporting, Erick will soon appear on Colbert’s Comedy Central show. Erick has been told to expect a seven minute interview, during which he’ll talk about Redstate.com (maybe us, too?) and take a look at political races around the country.

Erick, word of advice: Colbert is smarter and funnier than you, so don’t try to top him and don’t make definitive statements that he’ll use to nail you to a tree.

Good luck with it. I hope it turns out well for you.

Please be sure to determine your status as to whether or not you are a Georgia Peach as well.

Good luck, Erick–I hope you make him look foolish!

Anyway, congratulations!

Colbert makes everyone look stupid and it’s great. Just have fun with it.

Interview would not be complete without mentioning fornicating goats.

Colbert has lots of interns to find those great nuggets. Trust it’ll come up at some point.

Now, I’ve never met Eric, although I threw him a small donation one time and we have exchanged a few decent e-mails. I really mean no offense…

*here it comes*

Seems the GOP is really having to dig deep into the grass roots to toss new shiny happy grubs into the media meat grinder.

Then again, there is Ralph Reed….

Just Remember: you like Cocaine and Hookers because they are a fun thing to do – and because you hope to be Georgia’s Speaker of the House or Lt. Governor.
