Yep, They Exist

The texts, etc. are real. So who is going to be the new Speaker?

It seemed to me from watching last night’s report that Dale Russell had the emails detailing the affair and may have seen the threatening text messages. If they say half of what Mrs. Richardson said they say the Speaker’s in real trouble. I imagine we’ll see another Dale Russell report tonight.

But why did Erick take all day and then he suddenly pronounces them “real”? What is the back story to his one line posting?

I do not know about speaker, but on hot days, I could likely pass as Reeker of the House.

Deal.
Really?

What? No one at PP is good enough to be the Ethics staff?

Not that the Republicans need or want to take my advice, but how about someone like Fran Millar or Ed Lindsey as a placeholder Speaker for the next year. Someone who is not controversial but was a team player.

When Dick Codey became acting Governor of New Jersey after McGreevey was pushed out it paid huge dividends for the Democrats there to be seen as being led by an outsider who wasn’t part of the corrupt establishment. Then Corzine came along and pushed him out of the way and we all know how that ended.

Again, I doubt the Republicans would take or seek my advice, but that’s what I’d tell them to do. Someone who has the respect of his or her colleagues, press and business establishment who can say we’re putting this behind us and moving on.

I assume that the House Rules say that if Speaker steps down voluntarily or not that the Speaker Pro Tempore becomes Speaker.

Burkhalter will certainly move up as Speaker but I hear he will be the new GWCC Director. Look for Keen to be next Speaker, however, I would like to see Ed Lindsey at the top. He is as smart and straight forward as they come.

Both of those guys have dirty laundry and I’m not sure they want the attention to those problems…
