Nobody needs to see kids’ underwear.

Richmond County school board members gave initial approval Tuesday night to a policy banning “saggy pants” from after-school events such as football games.

The measure, approved unanimously in a board committee meeting, must now receive the full board’s approval at its Nov. 17 meeting.

After school events on campus are still school events. After attending 90% of the high school b-ball games here for years, I only went to one last season because the kids were cursing like crazy. But, walking to get popcorn at a football game is risky in the worst way. We are talking junior high kids pushing and fighting with little regarding for adults.

“Bussing a sag” is offensive but so are short shorts on church ladies at Saturday morning yard sales.
