I’m trying to head out from the beach, and quite frankly, don’t want to talk about football today. Plus, I can’t find this week’s update email from league commissioner Doug Deal. Here’s some quick hits from last week’s fantasy football action:
Karen Handel remains atop the standings, with a 6-1 record. She defeated Rob Teilhet who remains in 4th place at 4-3. The overall points leader, Nathan Deal, is way back in 8th place. It appears his team plays very hot or very cold. He’s going to have to make up some ground to take that points lead into a playoff slot, but he did pick up a victory last week against our own Peach Pundit team.
John Monds stands alone in second place with a 5-2 record with a win over Caesar’s Legions(2-5). Got to think Caesar might be focused on something other than Fantasy Football right now. Good luck on Tuesday Caesar, and thanks for taking the time during the “go-time” of your campaign to hang out a bit with us.
David Shafer (4-3) remains in third place this week despite a loss at the hands of Lynn Westmoreland (3-4). I understand Shafer is not happy with his running back’s decision to get a concussion at the beginning of his game, leaving his team high and dry.
Eric Johnson (4-3) sits just outside a playoff spot after a close fought win over Doug MacGinnitie (2-5).
This weeks featured matchup puts two Gubernatorial candidates head to head, with Eric Johnson taking on Nathan Deal. Lynn Westmoreland will be challenging Karen Handel, Doug MacGinnitie will take on David Shafer, Rob Teilhet and Caesar Mitchell battle it out, and John Monds will try to beat the home team of Peach Pundit.
Warsaw, Doug, or anyone else can post results of the other games. As I said, I don’t want to talk about it. Good Luck and Happy Sunday everyone. Hope you remembered to change your clocks back.
