Austin is performing on par in the Rasmussen polls with both Johnson and McBerry. Indeed, in last week’s poll he was tied with both of those men.

McBerry is expected to handily lose next July, but Johnson is thought by many to at least be in the runoff – and again, Scott is right there with both of them in the latest poll.

If you adopt my bracket philosophy, (Karen & Deal are fighting for one slot, Ox & EJ are fighting for the other), then I could say there is a slight chance for Austin Scott to sneak into a runoff if both Ox and EJ were to implode.

Eric Johnson has demonstrated his ability to raise money. He is also able to generate earned media like no one else in this race. For those two reasons, I still see no path to Austin getting into even a runoff without major implosions of at least two if not three campaigns.

Rep. Scott is a young man, this bid for Guv, IMHO, gives him Statewide exposure for future aspirations. GO Austin!

I am just curious, Why does the title not read “Eric Johnson” as well, since Eric and Rep. Scott seem to be polling within 2% of each other in all polls that are considered “legitimate” ?

Reminds me of a time about 8 years ago, when the headline could have read, “Sonny Perdue, Who Knew!”…..Seems to have worked out pretty well for him…

I have to say, he is the best looking candidate we have so maybe he should do a calendar for the holidays. That would get him some more exposure and raise some cash. 😉
