The reporter left out decibel levels, which have greatly increased in regard to these rides and parks and carnivals. The decibels exceed safe levels and can permanently damage hearing. Think about that when you’re at the movies, too, particularly with children, whose ears are more sensitive. Movie theaters have gotten so loud I don’t go anymore.

The people running these rides and movies are half-deaf now, so it isn’t loud to them.
