Sometime in the last hour, Lake Lanier moved to slightly less than one foot under full pool (and still rising).

Here’s your Monday morning open thread.

With the way it’s been raining I should have lake property by Friday. ;-)

ByteMe October 12, 2009 at 10:00 am

Anyone else have a dog who’s afraid to go outside when it’s raining?

Icarus October 12, 2009 at 10:07 am

I have about 70 who are afraid to play outside when it’s Saturday.

ByteMe October 12, 2009 at 10:40 am

As long as that issue isn’t fixed until after Halloween, I’m ok with it.

In a rare moment where you and I have common ground, Byte, I used to have a big German Shepherd when I was a kid who was deathly afraid of storms. This magnificent beast who defended me on occasions too many to count, was a whimpering mess.

ByteMe October 12, 2009 at 12:30 pm

My neighbor has a couple of Shepherds and they too are under the bed when it storms. My dog just hates to get rained on.

I have a 103 lbs lab who hides in our bathroom when it thunders. ;-) Big Baby!

Anything over 100lbs isn’t a pet. That’s a roommate.

And yet he’s running for State House?

Kellie October 14, 2009 at 5:34 am

State House?? Halo is too good for that. LOL

If you had a Pit Bull you wouldn’t have a problem like that. In fact Godzilla could be in the back yard and a Pit Bull would be clawing at the door trying to get at him.

Who wants to hit the big red “Global Warming” alarm button and switch on the Algore symbol?

Kellie October 12, 2009 at 10:47 am

I do believe a polar icecap just melted in my back yard.

I have two words (“Convention Center”) that I want inserted into an existing statute, that would benefit my business, and the public’s ability to hold a wedding on Sunday and still have a legal champagne toast.

Who do I have to pay to get this started? Is there a bill fee or a ‘contribution’ I have to initiate? How much per word is this going to cost?

Curious,

me

Start with the fat men at the top. Work your way down to the skinny guys who sweat a lot. Eventually, it’ll happen.

Getting a Bill passed is free, being a jackass is often costly

When is Bill Simon coming back?
When does Cobb get a front page poster?
When does the “left” (besides Icarus ;) ) get a front page poster?

I’m joking about Icarus of course, although what others may think?…….

Is PeachPundit just not going to cover the story over at fivethirtyeight about Strategic Vision and they’re polling methods?

BuckheadConservative October 12, 2009 at 10:07 pm

their* polling methods.

I think Nate Silver is a sniveling, liberal, little sh*t, but he’s sharp with the numbers. The evidence is compelling, and this is a Georgia pollster. Just thought it would make for interesting discussion. And we get the added bonus of hearing John Oxendine complain about attacks from the lib’ral internets as people begin to question the validity of this pollster that has him leading

There goes my latest small business plan. (topping trees from a bass boat.)

According to this http://ahps.srh.noaa.gov/ahps2/hydrograph.php?wfo=ffc&gage=cmmg1&view=1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 it’s two inches below full right now and will be at the point where they’re going to have to dump water with the next storm that’s approaching from the west.
