Isakson draws another challenger from the left

Now R.J. Hadley (D) of Rockdale County (Facebook page) is officially in the hunt to replace fellow liberal Johnny Isakson (R). Hadley, who during his campaign kick-off speech said that his main goal is to “represent the regular guy, the common man, in D.C.” but then “[t]hat means I work for all Georgians, not just a select few” was a 2008 DNC Convention Delegate and campaign manager for Rockdale County Chairman Richard Oden’s successful run for county commission.

With supporters like Dean Johnson, who told a reporter from the Rockdale Citizen after the speech that “[w]e have to face the fact that wealth belongs to all of us,” I can’t wait to see this outcome.

No response yet on this development from the crack team over at www.DraftJaneKidd.com.

Thumbs up for the “fellow liberal” comment about Isakson.

This looks like a good move for Hadley. He will not win, but he earns his stripes politically for taking on an (I). Especially if he runs a half way good campaign and raises any type of money.

I Hope Mr. Johnson meant to say “the concept of wealth”.

I’ve met Mr. Hadley. Smart guy. Very polished.

Sounds like it’ll be entertaining.

“Polls will tell me if I am somebody? The amount of money raised will signal if I am viable? Ok who made these rules? Must b a better way.”

Be sure to tell your readers to be careful, Pete. This guy’s obviously a Muslim terrorist who’s going to rip down all those Christian signs being held by the Catoosa County cheerleaders.

In that case, vote against him. Do it for the children.

Dean Johnson is a blithering idiot. Wealth, my friend, belongs to and only to the person who earned it. So slide your class warfare a$$ back under your socialist rock. I am beyond tired of those who, for whatever reason, whether it be for a lack of drive or ambition or any other reason, see fit to try and prey on the wealth and effort of others.

Dean Johnson is a straw man set up by Pete. Or did you not notice the sleight-of-hand?

brewskytime September 30, 2009 at 9:28 pm

I wanted to pose a question. How does a Republican win the 4th congressional district?

ByteMe October 1, 2009 at 9:24 am

Same way a Democrat will win the 6th CD.

GA Bloggers, Ok it’s your job to rip on guys like me. I get that…but is that all there is? Talk smack. Tear the candidate down. Make up junk. blah blah blah. At the end of the day, nothing changes…election cycle after cycle. And the guy at the kitchen table still gets screwed. Yes Peter G. I guess for some it will be entertaining for others it may be a chance to finally get some representation in DC. Keep me honest but keep it honest. rj

Your poor record in Rockdale will stand for itself. Since the change in admin, Rockdale has taken several steps backwards. Adding way to many people, raising taxes, and forcing qualified employees out to replace then with political cronies like yourself.

Good luck on running with this record.

benevolus October 1, 2009 at 7:42 pm

Yeah but will you vote for him?

GOPGeorgia October 1, 2009 at 9:22 pm

I think it’s kind of cool to have a candidate who I can quote when referring to bloggers and possible detractors, he said “blah blah blah.”

rjfromrockdale October 1, 2009 at 11:32 pm

GOPGeorgia. Yeah you got me on that one. rj

rjfromrockdale October 1, 2009 at 11:30 pm

Good day. Your 3 point basis for my “poor record” is unsubstantianted and broadstroke. (1)Adding way too many people is vague and depends on the speaker’s view- thus harder to debate. (2)Raising taxes is flat out false and misleading . Our Board never increased the millage rate, our HOST refund percentage was lowered by law, and HTRG was cut by our Governor. (3)The forcing people out to replace with “cronies” statement is false and tempting to parse, but I’ll just say this… I reject being labelled as a political crony because it implies lack of qualification to perform a job. Further, no one was “forced out” to facilitate my appointment.

You will find that I am always the optimist and look for the positive in all things. Thanks for wishing me Good Luck! rj

I wish there were a republican that was running against him. Not necessarily a strong one, just one on the ballot so i can vote against isakson in the primary.

Some Other Valerie October 2, 2009 at 10:13 pm

Me too.

Daniel N. Adams October 3, 2009 at 9:13 am

Me 3. However, we will provide a choice for fiscal conservatives and individual liberty lovers for the November election, just in case people truly want “change” they don’t have to “make believe” in.

So I go away for a few days, and Erick is disbanding a police department because they want to form a club, Cheerleaders are now the last thing standing between us and a Godless society, Sheppie is endorsing himself on the front page and his opponent is attacking him and the entire Republican establishment who endorsed him as “moderates”, and Isakson is now a lib’ral.

What’s that? It’s 2:30 on a Friday? I think I’ll have whatever they’re having…

Peach Pundit is not a place for rational or pragmatic thought Icarus. How you haven’t learned that by now is a mystery.
