Almost 1 million Georgia families have had a personal [phone, letter, email, and visit] interaction with the GA Insurance Department in the past 15 years.
I wonder how many got a satisfactory or at least a quality resolution to their problem. Guess we will see next July/Nov.

I know it would have sucked to drive/ride ~~400,000 miles around Georgia.
Can you imagine the life of a field insurance adjuster, you never see someone happy.
I expect the next occupant will not drive/ride nearly so much and the impact will be felt.

I know, like and respect Ralph Hudgens. But it boggles the mind that he would think that his campaign leadership team should include an Insurance Industry lobbyist whose sole client, AIG, has been the beneficiary of a $122.8 billion taxpayer bailout and an insurance company owner (Millner).

He's sort of taking the most on-point criticisms of Oxendine, that Ox is too close to the industry he regulates and its lobbyists, without the merits of having done the great job Ox has performed with actually running the department.

Stuckey was chairman in 1988 when the state GOP convention in Albany melted down in a bitter fight between Stuckey's old country club Republican crowd and the newcomer social conservatives. Stuckey played hardball and waged a nasty vicious campaign as he tried to lock out the conservative delegates and a series of judges overturned each other over who could be seated. Stuckey even had the air conditioning and power cut off to the convention center after he and his crowd finally realized they were outnumbered. Anyone who falls on the conservative side of the equation and was involved in the late 80's and early 90's has no use for Stuckey, nor for any candidate he is associated with. Hudgens may be the highest and best candidate but there is no way he would ever get my vote now.
