Thanks, Ic, I almost forgot about it.
Please, no laughing. I tend to pick by my heart and not by my head.
Why no thread on the Judson Hill/Chip Rogers “Press” conference on healthcare and the 10th Amendment? What a train wreck. Most people realize that Judson Hill is an intellectual lightweight, but Rogers looked lost as well.
Finishing it now.
“Most people realize that Judson Hill is an intellectual lightweight”
Seriously? Name calling? Judson Hill goes to my church, and I know a number of men who know him well. You may disagree with him, but he is no “intellectual lightweight”.
I realize that to liberals, conservatives are often seen as dimwitted and stupid. That is why, given that I am a conservative, Southern (and sound like it), I joined certain societies some years ago so there is some independent confirmation that I at least have a 3 digit IQ.
LIMY has established himself as a conservative around these here parts.
It is a sign of an intellectual lightweight to assume pejoratives lobbed at your side come from “the opposition.”
Who or what is LIMY? And how do you define “intellectual lightweight”?
Rugby, I appreciate the characterization; and you and I have more in common than you think. But sadly, being a “conservative” in the South is different from being a conservative in other parts of the nation.
Now that my questions are answered, I stand by what I said. Calling people names, such as “intellectual lightweight”, is a sign the person using that phrase has no legitimate argument.
And yes, conservativism in the South (which really can be found all over the US and elsewhere) is different than the faux conservatism found elsewhere.
Conservatism may differ, but the rules of pandering are universal.
Considering a poster’s name here is LoyaltyIsMyHonor and you asked who or what is a LIMY I hope you have answered your questions.
Yes, Rugby, as I said in the post you replied to. I am not really into all the shorthand that some are. I still like my words spelled out or abbreviated unless it is something universally understood.
And remember, no wagering. Well, except in Nevada and for some odd reason Delaware….
All I’ve got to say is real football is not played on blue turf! (and no, that’s not a partisan statement)
If a certain team that plays on blue turf actually had to face somewhat of a REAL team, say even Ole Miss or one of the other SEC bottom feeders, we wouldn’t have to worry about them taking a bowl spot from a team that actually deserves it.
The same principle applies to USC and their uncanny ability to get ranked much higher than they deserve. And I don’t mean the original USC – Univ. of South Carolina.
Watching that game, I really thought the same thing. And then I thought: was there a discount on blue paint at the local Ace Hardware?
UC Bearcats over Rutgers by 7 or more! Watch Monday at 4PM ESPN
