Earlier today I complimented the Oxendine campaign on the Obamacare website. They did a good job and it was nicely executed. One of the things I noted, however, was this:
Ox gets to add significantly to his list of emails that he can then send information to.
Another blogger who pointed it out is 15 year old Kyle Constable down in Southwest Georgia. And he has an interesting story to tell.
After I signed up for it I saw it put you on the Oxendine for Governor email database. I wrote an article saying the site was a “scam” and that if you don’t want Oxendine emails, don’t sign their “petition.” That was published at 1:30pm. At around 2:00pm, I received a message from Gabe Winslow, the Oxendine Campaign Web Strategist, on Facebook asking me to call him. So I did. So for a half an hour I talked with Gabe Winslow and Jeff Breedlove, the Oxendine Campaign Chief Strategist. During the course of the phone call a few things happened.
First, I was scolded for putting the post up. They said that I should be spreading the positive about it and not saying anything else. Second, I was told I was “questioning the integrity of John” which in a way may have been true, but they never actually cleared up whether or not I should have. They said I had done it by saying he would take people’s email addresses and send campaign emails to them. I asked them if that was true. BOTH OF THEM, dodged my question and kept telling me it didn’t matter because I had questioned Ox’s integrity.
Not good.
Don’t worry Kyle — pretty soon they’ll use you in a fundraising letter saying you attacked them.

That Lib’ral Kyle Constable is at it again.
I think Kyle is probably the 68th most influential conservative
Questioned Ox’s integrity??? What integrity? He has none….
Interesting. I wonder who Ox’s people will try to take down next week….
Oxendine and his team need some personal coaches. Maybe Dr Phil can help them out? How does Echols justify being involved with these hooligans?
Oxendine campaign goes after 15 year old…
That just begs for ridicule…
That Lib’ral Kyle Constable works for the AJC.
Wow. That’s pretty despicable. Campaigns shouldn’t ever misrepresent the use of Internet technologies.
Sent from my iPhone
Doesn’t it get a little old being a waterboy?
Don’t forget to shine Nathan’s shoes, now, ya hear?
At least he has a sense of humor about it.
I would suggest that the Oxendine campaign pick on someone their own size, but perhaps they have. Very telling.
One of the commenters here, Bill Greene, knows a lot about email lists and their value. Perhaps he could offer some insight about why Oxendine’s campaign would harvest addresses this way, and if its worth it.
1.) A 15 year old is taking meaningful interest in the political system?
Fantastic! If true, no reason to think otherwise, this is so encouraging.
2.) My guess is Mr. Constable, Esq. knows more about how technology is being used, with or without voter knowledge than most folks 45-72.
As to the Ox Cart, this long gub cycle is going to turn-off people with its’ weekly installments of ‘who-dun-what’. I guess since issues are far less engaging than campaign tactics to some, that’s what we’ll see.
BBalz:
I know Kyle through our work in Lee County and SWGA area politics. He’s definetly 15, and he’s definetly taking an active interest in politics – something I’m trying to encourage, even though we frequently disagree. (For example, he is the local area leader of TaxHikeMike’s group.)
To an extent, I agree with you on the Ox Cart, which is why even I am trying to back off to an extent – but there are certain things that are just so blatant that they HAVE to be commented on, such as this issue and the fact that he is trying to play off signing a 912Campaigns.com pledge – a very obscure group that is NOT in ANY way affiliated with Beck’s The 912 Project – as some kind of endorsement by the official 912 Project.
But heck, I even buried THAT story at the bottom of my first-ever shotgun style post last night.
Quite simply, Ox really isn’t worth my time. The guy is scum, as this latest incident with Kyle proves, and I’m tired of wasting space on SWGAPolitics.com on him.
Once again speaking about dodging questions can you answer mine?
OX TEAM
First Medicare is government run healthcare. And we all know unless we get this under control the federal deficit will explode. My question is simple unless we get end of life spending under control than how do we afford this? Should tax payers pay for a hip replacement on a person with less than 6 moths to live? Should tax payers pay for a brain dead person heath care? How does the free market system fix this problem? Once again what is OX calling for the end of Medicare and or county hospitals treating the uninsured and or underinsured?
Can the OX team answer the questions? I guess they avoid the questions and or attack.
Ox’s camp should not be calling 15 year olds. Ever.
I’m sure he sounded 18.
In their defense, they simply asked Kyle to call them, which he did.
I have a feeling that Chris Hansen may be doing another story in GA…
Who is Hansen?
google him
Update: Breedlove is on the phone RIGHT NOW with Kyle bullying him EVEN MORE!!!
I’m calling my bookie.
If I were Kyle’s mom, Ox would be hearing a thing or two from me.
Jeff Sexton may be a liar. And, you can take that to the bank.
At least I self-disclose getting paid by any campaign
Jeff,
For the umpteenth time…I sell products and campaigns buy products. That’s not being “paid” by a campaign as though I receive a steady income.
I have no stake in the outcome of the Governor’s race.
What I DO do is try to ameliorate every whack-job conversation out there…and any conversation that YOU are involved in tends to be 1000% whack-job, hysterically-based.
Quite simply, you’re a nutcase of the highest order. And, you need to be opposed at every possible point.
I agree with Bill. I haven’t seen from his business that he discriminates between red and blue money – he (rightfully so) like sgreen.
If some political campaign paid me to write software (not to worry – they can’t afford me), I wouldn’t discriminate between Democrat and Republican. I would refuse to do anything that is, to me, immoral or illegal, and that would apply to either party. while Bill and I disagree on politics, he does seem to me (FWIW) to not be some paid shill for braindead Democrats or braindead Republican’ts.
But, I wouldn’t use terms like “whack job” to my fellow posters. I am just tired of looking at people like that just because they disagre with me on what is best for georgia and America.
MSBass:
I’m not opposed to making money, and I’m not opposed to making money from campaigns.
What I AM opposed to is posting glowing comments about the campaigns you are getting paid by and not disclosing the fact that you were paid by them yourself, instead waiting until you were outed by campaign disclosure reports.
Jeff,
So if I sold apples to the John Doe campaign, and then I posted something good about them, I should disclose that? If they aren’t paying me to be a mouthpiece, or to blog for them, why is it wrong to not say you earned a buck through legitimate commercial trade from them? If you think so, that is OK by me. But please excuse me if I am not that bothered by it.
They were not “glowing comments.” They simply were not acidic comments of the type YOU write about, Jeff.
STOP lying, Jeff.
Bill,
Look, I know I’m just a CHICKENSH*T who doesn’t have the BALLS to post under my REAL NAME, but dude, come off of yourself. I am a long-time visitor and frequent commentor on this site (although I recently changed my screename), and from everything I have seen, you have the most self-righteous, self-centered, *sshole/prick I have seen on most blog sites. And that’s quite a statement considering you have to split snaps with Erick. At least Erick is mildy amusing when he says something completely stupid. You, on the other hand, are just completely stupid.
Face it brother, you’re a late middle-aged loser at life, who has to use a weblog to take out his frustrations for being a late middle-aged loser in life on other people. You were probably the type of person who got stuffed into lockers during high school, sat in the computer lab writing code on Friday nights during college, and is now frustrated. In. Every. Way.
The fact that you are an AVID Oxendine supporter goes beyond the fact that his campaign pays you money. Or…”buys products from you”, or however you, the enlightened late middle-aged life loser want to phrase it. You’re a dumb little p*ssy, who can dish it out, but whines like a little b*tch when someone calls him him out. And I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are too much of a p*ssy to ever say 1/4 of the stuff you say on here to anyone’s face. Because you already know that you’ll end up being stuffed back into a locker.
But what do I know? I’m too CHICKENSH*T to post UNDER MY REAL NAME.
None of us were actually privy to the conversation. There are a couple things to remember.
1. He called into them. He didn’t have to call in.
2. He wrote a negative piece on his blog.
3. Even though he’s only 15 if he is willing to put himself out there by writing negative pieces then he should expect fallout.
4. If he is in fact a journalist, he should respect the “off the record” code. (I notice Erick didn’t happen to report that in his piece above.)
TG:
At the time, he was an avowed Ox supporter. He had no reason NOT to call them at that point.
Furthermore, this morning BREEDLOVE called KYLE.
Do you think victims of other forms of abuse, such as batterered wives or rape victims, should also keep silent? This was straight up intimidation, and I, for one, am GLAD someone stood up about it.
Hell, even *I* didn’t have those kind of stones back in April when Breedlove pulled a similar stunt with me when ‘Ox and Liberty, Part I’ came out. My response was much more private, in a way: I wrote ‘Ox and Liberty, Part 2′ – a series that eventually (just a couple of weeks later) led the Ox campaign to remove those pages from its site.
Jeff, stop using Kyle to advance your own agenda. Who is going to trust him now that he took a off the record conversation on the record? You might of won the day against Oxendine, but you screwed over Kyle’s reputation. Who would trust Kyle now in their campaign HQ volunteering. If the past is any indication of the future, any private conversation might become public.
Trey,
The same people that trust other victims of abuse (of power, in this case).
Yes, but Kyle has political ambition. Your a better blogger if you attack politicians who you feel abuse power, but if you want to hold an office like Kyle does, your shooting yourself in the foot.
I point blank told Kyle this myself:
If Ox wins, obviously he is screwed. If he goes public with this (which he did), he is committed to seeing Ox out of power – forever.
That said, if Ox LOSES, Ox becomes just another also-ran and of little significance. How many people even on this vaunted forum honestly know who ran in the GOP primary for Governor in 1998 – much less in the public at large? How many -other than those involved – can name a SINGLE non-candidate operator that was working for any of those campaigns?
I’m glad you informed him about that. Obviously if Oxendine wins Kyle is screwed, but still think some people, including myself, will remember this. It won’t be detrimental to his reputation, but it will be there.
Just like those teenage friendships that will last forever, in 2-3 years, I bet you won’t event remember Kyle’s name.
Hence the point about these groups taking themselves way too seriously.
“At the time, he was an avowed Ox supporter. He had no reason NOT to call them at that point.” According to his own account:
“After I signed up for it I saw it put you on the Oxendine for Governor email database. I wrote an article saying the site was a “scam” and that if you don’t want Oxendine emails, don’t sign their “petition.” That was published at 1:30pm. At around 2:00pm, I received a message from Gabe Winslow.”
He did write favorable pieces up until that point. He is an intelligent young man. He knew why the campaign had requested him to call him back.
“Do you think victims of other forms of abuse, such as batterered wives or rape victims, should also keep silent? ” Come on…..This is a stretch for even your limited scope of thinking. He was being called onto the carpet for breaking the “off the record” code. If he wants to play journalist like a big boy, he needs to play by the big boy rules.
Since you have belittled victims of rape and spousal abuse by demeaning a real crime and comparing this insignificant situation to them, your already subject credibilty of journalistic excellence just went below that of a 5 year old and a box of crayons.
He was being bullied, which many people consider to be mental child abuse. Don’t believe me? Talk to parents and teachers on that subject. I know I have.
Furthemore, this bullying was CLEARLY an abuse of power designed to silence an opponent. Therefore, if Kyle remained silent, he was condoning the bullying.
I have belittled no one – but you seem to be suggesting that victims of bullying and abuse should remain silent and not report their tormentors.
Simply put: Your an idiot.
Is that bullying you? Have I bruised your precious ego? Putz…
Jeff,
This is politics. People (like, YOU, and perhaps Kyle) who take what is said in politics and try to turn it around to be something it is not (i.e., “child abuse” or “mental battery”) demonstrate themselves to be COMPLETE, and unmitigated MORONS in the arena…and, people will dismiss you as not being able to act as an adult in the arena.
Politics is, truly, the only arena where there is no age barrier to success. Get a clue.
Ah yes, Bill. $2400 spent on you was one of the wisest investments Ox has made thus far.
Jef,
You’re an idiot, Dude. Seriously…an effing idiot.
BTW, did you notice you were blocked from following me on Twitter? Know why? Because you’re an idiot. Plain and simply a full-fledged MORON whom no one cares about with regards to your SWMORONS.com blog.
True Grit you need real help for defending this behavior. Seek professional help immediately!
Another surprise…Konop shows up to save the day.
I have said it numerous times the OX campaign should consult with my friend Jason Shepherd (future house member) before reacting to any situation. Jason shows class even when he disagrees with people!
SHEP FOR HOUSE!
John…chill-out…you’re back to acting like the hysterical, ignorant ninny you used to act like 2 years ago.
True Grit, you are full of $hit!! My God! Who the hell do you think you sorry bastards are raising hell over a 15 year old!!!
I hope to God you win the primary. Barnes will drag you’re trailer court as$ back to the trailer court you came from!
I don’t think Ox’s campaign bullied a 15 year old, but I did hear Gabe knocked over a 7 year old and stole his milk money yesterday. The milk money was promptly donated to the Oxendine campaign, but not before being passed through a series of out of state insurance PACs.
LOL, Jason
My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl who saw Gabe smack around a Girl Scout and steal her cookies.
Man, I heard the exact same story! Two, independent and verifiable sources. Bet this will be on the GA Gang.
Only if it happened in DeKalb County and/or Dick Williams hears that Vernon Jones had a hand in it somehow.
I think we all need to look at one simple fact here; Kyle is 15 years old, he cannot vote. I’m not disrespecting Kyle, but the chances of a 15 year old swaying vast amounts of people away from Oxendine is unlikely; that is, until now. Ox seems to have stepped on a land mine by siccing his attack dogs on Kyle. Kudos to Kyle for standing his ground!
Though he can’t vote, Kyle may have indirectly caused people to leave the Ox campaign; and it would be all Oxendine’s fault.
Kyle, keep standing your ground and exercising your First Amendment rights. It’s no business of anyone, especially a gubernatorial candidate, to tell you how to think and what to say.
Maybe Breedlove needs a consultant? Strike two for idiotic people skills. This time …… with a 15 YEAR OLD!
This breedlove fellow is a real winner!!! As$holes unlimited.
Does this really surprise anyone? Republicans won’t even expand health care for children, what makes you think they won’t verbally bully a 15 year old?
This has nothing to do with SCHIP and EVERYTHING to do with the bullies that Ox has hired and is therefore directly responsible for.
Granted, but still… it shows a lack of caring (at least in my view) about children and individuals.
Oxendine’s campaign did it for the Children. If he doesn’t bully this young man now, how will he learn to deal with the bullying he’ll get when he is reported to the White House and DHS comes to “talk” to him.
Did the 15-year old identify himself to BE a 15 year old before that conversation with the Ox campaign?
IF not, then all this jabbering is a crock of bullsh*t.
Alright, I’ve been watching all of these comments flow in since last night. I want to comment on this because Bill Simon wants to know if they knew my age beforehand. Yes Bill, they did. During the conversation my age was discussed so they obviously knew that I’m 15 years old.
Okay, fair enough, Kyle. Thanks.
Follow-up to Kyle: Do YOU really “feel” like you were being “bullied?”
Don’t go asking Sexton what your response should be…did you feel “small” and “insignificant” in that conversation with Breedlove and Winslow? Did you feel hurt?
Yes, I did feel bullied.
I’m going to be honest, I showed the article to Jeff before it went up, but I wrote the thing and didn’t make any changes after showing it to Jeff and he had no input in the article.
Those two members of the Oxendine campaign belittled me because of my age, spoke to me in a rude manner at some points in the conversation, and disregarded my questions and continued to insist that I was questioning Ox’s integrity.
Yes, I did feel “small” because of the way they treated me. But I do feel significant because they cared enough about my blog post to have me call them.
Let me say this, I was entirely truthful in the article I wrote, I stand by my statements as they are what really happened in the conversation.
I hope I was able to sufficiently respond to your follow up.
Yes. Thanks, Kyle. Sorry you had to experience what you had to experience.
However, and this may sound strange, this experience will serve to help you if you continue in politics because it teaches you how to handle things.
Remember: What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
Remember: What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
Also remember, it’s not the fall that kills you. Think about it.
It’s the cover-up of the fall?
What fall?
Dash, to your knowledge, is it legal for a man to marry his widow’s sister?
You know, Zombie Apocalypse scholars have debated this one for ages.
Bill, what are you? The conscience of the Georgia republican bouncer coalition? You rewriting the first amendment? Do you even work, other than being the enforcer for Oxendine?
You married to Ox’s ex wife?
This status just posted on Facebook:
John Oxendine : If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don’t have integrity, nothing else matters – Alan Simpson
yeah, he defriended me on FB but I still follow him on twitter, and this was my response there:
I’ve been doing some research on Peach Pundit and it appears that it might be near the 850th most influential Political Blog in United States.
The #1 is Huffington Post.
It is fun to read and write for but a very limited audience which shows how few sources the OTHER GEORGIA MEDIA really have.
Shows how the ranking models used may be missing some finer points.
Like how we can manipulate the local media to at least looking into some of the things we all mention. Much better than those single anonymous sources they use to use!

“Powerful Fascists Protest Protests by Powerless Protesters!”
I think the reason PP will be lower in the list is that it is limited to the state of Georgia. That automatically makes it 1/50 (more like 1/30 due to population) as travelled as an equally popular national site. Plus, pretty much every equivalent political blog in a places like California, NY, Texas or Florida will be larger due to higher population.
It is definitely influential in state politics. Every time I have introduced myself to a major player in state government, they have said they have read my comments on PP. Anything that well read by the power brokers has a great deal fo influence.
Every time I have introduced myself to a major player in state government, they have said they have read my comments on PP.
Same here.
Lousy no good name dropper.
WHY DOES MODERATION TAKE 5 MINUTES?
You should see how long indulgence and intemperance take.
And yet impudence is instantaneous.
For a limited audience we have some thoughful posters and the much of the State is missing some fine comments.
My point was to stimulate the rankings so that PP can gain more audience.
If Georgia is 10th largest but weaker in onlines than some states and populations, out of 1,000 we should be in the top 100 at least.
“The recession may have bought us some time as global growth slows. However, says Jeremy Grantham of US fund manager GMO, beyond our debt problems “lurks another longer-term and more important factor affecting future growth – the increasing limitations on resources. We’re simply running out of everything at a dangerous rate”.
The planet’s metal supply is fast depleting, and the quality of what’s left is lower: “where 30 tons of copper ore once produced a ton of copper, it now takes 500 tons”. Even water’s running out.
As the planet’s population soars, says Grantham, “we must prepare ourselves for waves of higher resource prices and shortages unlike anything we’ve faced outside wartime”.
Technocrat,
WTF does this post of yours have to do with the thread theme?
Bill, I think we has referring to his original post that was held for moderation because it had 3 or more links.
I think that post might have been in response to someone else up there somewhere commenting on the audience of PP.
This kind of experience rings familiar. Some time ago I had the unique opportunity to deal with a member of Mr. Oxendines’ staff.
Uh Huh. Needles to say this was one of THE most unprofessional, full-of-themselves individuals I’ve ever dealt with. In short this guy
berated me for asking stupid questions and made it clear he didn’t have time for constituents.
In contrast (and I’m an independent) when I’ve met Karen Handel and her husband Steve they immeadiately put me at ease and made me feel like they’d known me a lifetime. Very refreshing.
Yeah, Oxendine needs to keep surrounding himself with these jackasses
What a lame sock puppet you are “Roy”. Everyone know “Roy” is an anagram of Erick Woods Erickson.
Chris, I swear to God a thousand times, I’m not Erick.
Whatever you say, “Erick”.
Agree or disagree with Karen, he is right about Karen and Steve showing class.
Clearly they have not shown class, otherwise their campaign staff would bully all us bloggers into stopping our endless attacks on the Ox.
Curious, John…have YOU asked Karen for her answers to all those questions you keep ranting about to the Ox campaign about? Hmm?
I have to add that Ihave a lot of respect for the way Secretary Handel has carried herself in this election. If she can take that to the voters and let her see her professionalism, she will be the easy winner.
And you’re actually right about something Konop. I showed no class by calling Jeff an idiot and a putz because he compared this kid to a rape victim.
DELETED BY ERICK
Bill, wow. This one was way out of line. I’m putting your comments in moderation.
For the man who himself has no problem with extreme post titles or making comments of an extreme nature (i.e., EE), to remove a post dealing with homoerotic humor from one experienced blogger to another experienced blogger is simply astounding.
Experienced on blogging or experienced in homoerotica? It’s vital to your point.
one experienced blogger to another experienced blogger
It’s pretty clear, Buckhead. Like REAL. CLEAR.
Bill, right or wrong, it is his blog, his rules. There is a fine line, and it is up to him to determine where it is.
DD, not arguing with the rules…just pointing out how astounding the call was. Did you actually see what I wrote before Erick deleted it?
Nope, send it to me on FB if you want my opinion.
I find all of this very amusing.
As do I. There are some of us out there – and I think it’s still quite a lot of us – that haven’t made any decision who to support for governor, and this kind of thing just makes me scratch my head. If the kid wrote a blog post, that’s fine. It’s HIS blog, and he can write whatever he wants. The Oxendine campaign should have let it go. Again, it’s one blog post from a teenager. Shouldn’t the campaign staff be focused on bigger issues? Unfortunately, because they did not, it seems the staff (all adults, I assume?) has added fuel to the fire and made it a far bigger issue – for the campaign, not the kid – than they should have.
I completely concur. Ox has a habit of ignoring actual issues and manufacturing ones that have NOTHING to do with the office he is seeking.
That’s not necessarily what I find amusing.
I was agreeing with Holly moreso than you, Grift, but can you elaborate please?
I’m just curious if anyone has the Ox campaign side of the story. What is you say, Jeff? Ask your mother for verification?
grift:
1) Kyle has been a VERY strong Ox supporter. One of the first things I ever heard him say was something to the tune of ‘Ox is what Georgia needs in 2010 because he supports the FairTax.’ – this was at the Leesburg Tea Party.
2) Breedlove has a long track record of these types of incidents (apparently longer than I knew about, since I’ve had at least 2 more people come to me today with similar stories).
3) Because Kyle was such a strong supporter and is now claiming he will have nothing to do with Ox, SOMETHING massive must have happened there. Even as recently as last week, Kyle was telling me he still fully supported Ox.
Logically, knowing 2) and hearing about 3), it makes sense that Breedlove tried to intimidate Kyle, exactly as Kyle claims. I’ll give Breedlove a bit of credit here, he is smart enough to deny the charges and hope they go away. Obviously, no phone recordings were made here, so there is no proof – but I have direct personal knowledge of another time, back in April, where this exact scenario was played out with a different issue at hand – ‘Ox and Liberty, Part 1′ vs the youcanstopobama.com website.
Jeff,
I know your have a very STRONG belief the story is true. HOWEVER, because you or even Kyle say it’s true doesn’t mean it’s true. Or even it’s true, it doesn’t have proper CONTEXT.
Given your public animus towards Oxendine, I would consider it PRUDENT to attempt to uncover all perspectives. Otherwise you just end up looking like a vengeful NUTJOB.
Well, regardless of what the Ox campaign did once they read the post, the fact is that they added fuel to the fire by responding, yeah? I don’t understand it.
If someone accuses you of abusing a teenager, you can’t just sit by and say nothing.
True Grit
Your lack of class has reached a new height even for you! You should not bully adults let alone a 15 year old. You need a time-out and you should be sent to your room and write an essay on how to work and play well with others.
I’ll take that as a compliment coming from another classless indvidual like yourself Konop.
True Grit you must be paid by the opponents of OX?
I’ve been waiting all night and day for Jenny’s YouTube on this one. Please don’t let us down.
yawn….huh, what? Someone wants to see a Just Jenny? That’s how ya’ know Peach Pundit has gotten seriously boring.
I’m kinda busy these days running a campaign. And since we are putting out our States’ Rights legislative agenda and the States’ Rights Tour has begun, I’m seriously swamped.
So the Ox-Wholes will have to carry forth without my snide comments referencing in half hearted snide fashion the bullish behavior by those of Deutsch descent some 60 odd years ago.
I don’t think you can have an “off the record” conversation with a 15 year old.
You can if you are Planned Parenthood speaking to a 15 year old who was knocked up by her 21 year old boyfriend.
Since I included 15 year old, I don’t think technically that can be considered thread jacking.
Apparently you can’t GOP.
Ox and his supporters are the lowest of scum…….. How can anyone think that this behavior is acceptable? They will fall much quicker than I thought…
As opposed to you Frazier….who is the highest of said scum.
You need to wipe your nose Grit. The build up from your butt kissing is showing.
TG..Oh please, go and cry to your beloved McCain… You have never backed a winner and run with a looser every time. Losers attract losers. Try going on a diet with the rest of your obese team, you make the GOP look bad with your appearance. You are a burden on the tax payers with all those extra rolls of fat you carry around.
Try going on a diet with the rest of your obese team, you make the GOP look bad with your appearance. You are a burden on the tax payers with all those extra rolls of fat you carry around.
WOW!….Now THAT’S a weird post.
Easy Frazier, he may have a thyroid condition? He may have a mental condition caused butt kissing “The Commissioner” that causes him to overeat? It is not nice to make fun of people struggling with weight issues. You are a better man than that. Let us not forget, TGs business is regulated by the OX. The OX could stop him from ripping off the poor and elderly. Who would pay for his super sized big mac snacks with cheese between meals ?????
SF and RR – wow, I literally am picking my jaw up off the floor! This is such a silly little conversation, why in the world would you become so nasty and mean-spirited over it. Get a life! I will admit that in past conversations I’ve found myself frequently annoyed with TG’s unwavering support of Oxendine and his inability to question anything Ox does, but this time I think you two are most definitely the biggest losers in the conversation!
WTF?!
This is a full contact sport……..It is not for the weak….
So, TG is in the insurance business? Interesting.
More like loan shark…….
How old are you Frazier? 12?
I might have called Jeff an idiot earlier for stupid comments, but you are a first class grade A piece of feces that calls an entire group of supporters scum.
Who did you back in the presidential election? Nader? Barr? McKinney? No? Certainly not McCain. Leaves Obama. I’d rather be associated with a “looser” (learn to spell) like McCain than King Barry the Great!
TG
I think, I can’t be sure though, the double oo was emphasizing how loopy you are…. Please clarify SFRazier….
Ox won’t bully kids from conception through birth but once they get here I guess they’re fair game.
It annoys me that Oxendine is the “Insert your Coalition here Governor”.
You can only be so many coalitions’ Governor before you are backsliding on one of those coalitions. I am convinced that John Oxendine would preach about 2nd Amendment rights at a Georgia Carry Convention and then go to a Mother’s Against Guns meeting and preach about the evils of guns and the violence they induce.
If Jesus didn’t need a gun neither do you.
The gun makes up for the lack of an entourage.
Is that supposed to be a euphemism?
Jesus didn’t need a gun, but then was also the almighty, omnipotent, omniscient, eternal God in the flesh. I can’t speak for others, but I am nowhere near what He was and is, so I don’t really have a problem with a gun for protection. Which given the Obama union thugs at town hall meetings to keep us in line, could be necessary if they get violent (again).
Jesus also didn’t have an iPod, a car, or blue jeans. Yet, I don’t think there is problem with having and using those appropriately.
Jesus reprimanded Peter for exhibiting violence against one of the hundreds that came to arrest Jesus, but He also used violence (twice) against the moneychangers in the Temple, and spoke quite ill towards the Jewish government leaders (Pharisees, Saducees, Sanhedrin, etc.)
Jesus’ weapon of choice was a cat-of Nine-Tails. But he only used that when beating people hanging out around the church. (I don’t think he was very good at bridge building).
Luke 22:36 He said to them, “but now let the one who has a money bag take it and likewise a nap sack. And let the one who has no sword, sell his cloak and buy one.”
One of the marks of a great leader is that he is willing to admit when he is wrong. That includes when someone working in his name commits a wrong act. A great leader doesn’t admit wrongdoing if he did nothing wrong, but is quick and up front about it when he did.
When that great leader is a politician, that means admitting it in public. Most voters don’t expect perfection, and they are drawn to sincere honesty and humility.
I don’t know all the facts, and I will wait until they present themselves to make up my mind, but I am less inclined towards Oxendine when he is so slow to come clean. If he or his staff did nothing wrong, then why not say so? Disclose the facts.
What Georgia needs are great leaders. That is true whether it is state government, the local church, or the family. While meaning nothing sexist, I see a significant void where men today are concerned in the areas of courage, honesty, humility, and virtue. Whether it is the gubernatorial candidate or the dad at home, we need men like that. And I am yet to see those qualities in Oxendine as it relates to this matter.
Sec. Oxendine, you need someone with those qualities on your staff as surely as King David needed Nathan.
This post has gone horribly wrong.
How so?
Sorry. That comment should have been at the bottom of the page – about the thread in gereral.
Oxendine and his team are horribly wrong…….
The Georgia Teen Republicans strongly condones Treasurer Kyle Constable’s actions regarding his post about Commissioner John Oxendine. Kyle stepped over the line by personally attacking a respected state-wide Republican official, as well as violated his word by going public with an off the record phone call.
Actions are being taken by the Executive Board to resolve this situation from the interior. The Georgia Teen Republicans encourage free speech, but all Republican Party elected officials are held to a higher standard regarding their speech than an average citizen.

This is just me too lazy to get a dictionary, but doesn’t “to condone” mean “to support”.
very true. or we are just not smart and all mildly dyslexic.
I have little room to complain. My grammar in my question was atrocious.
Also, keep in mind that you guys are teenagers. Don’t be too harsh in condemning the judgment of a 15 year old. Perhaps full fledged adults could have chosen to tread more carefully.
“we are just not smart”
You are defending the Ox.
This is precisely why my son is forbidden to post on political blog sites…..
Besides, I think I’m embarrassing the family enough all by myself.
Seriously, since when is Ox well respected?
Who respects a bully and a liar? Someone of very low character, that is for sure…
I think you mean condemns
grift,
You liberals just love giving condemns to teenagers.
Oxendine and his team of a$$holes are doing wonders. Keep up the good work.
Where to begin, where to begin….
I think I just go with this one:
DougG (GOPGA): “I don’t think you can have an “off the record” conversation with a 15 year old.”
True Grit: “Apparently you can’t GOP.”
While I realize that True Grit isn’t an “official” rep of the Ox campaign, he represents the sentiment they’ve expressed earlier today in their official communications.
What the hell would you have to be thinking to even TRY to have an “off the record” conversation with a 15 year old?
He may be the best, brightest political whiz kid around, but he is still a MINOR. Adults, of any profession, have no business attempting to conduct an “off the record” discussion with a minor.
There’s something about that that just ain’t right.
Because he’s a 15 year old heavily into politics the Ox-ies took for granted that he can be treated like a mindless sycophant who may be told what to think and do at will. It naturally follows that they took for granted that nothing said to the boy would come back to bite them. To a certain extent I can see where that would be an easy mistake to make. But then there is the issue of damage control once they discovered they proceeded from a false premise. The arrogant tend not to know when to just admit that they made a mistake instead of letting that mistake fester. And that’s the only reason there is a story here at all. My free political advice: humility is the cover up of choice for very minor offenses. Ox would do well to remember that, since I see more minor offenses in his future (no pun intended).
