Good news indeed.

Before Georgia’s football team hits the practice field today for its first preseason workout, the Bulldogs already have their first victory.

The reason: players managed to toe the line off the field this offseason. Not a single player is known to have been arrested in the seven months since the Bulldogs 2008 season came to a close.

Go Dawgs :)

galiberal August 4, 2009 at 10:12 am

BTW, Erick, it is good to know we can at least agree on the important things!

bullochGOP August 4, 2009 at 11:17 am

That may be good news.

Great news:

Georgia Tech 45: uga 42

TPNoGa August 4, 2009 at 2:24 pm

And this is just funny:

Florida 49

Georgia 10

Bwahahahahaha!!!

Erick August 4, 2009 at 11:18 am

GaLiberal, there have got to be a few more than that.

What’s your opinion of birthers? ;)

SFrazier August 4, 2009 at 1:56 pm

Give it up Erick, it is not going to work. Very lame……..

Bill Simon August 4, 2009 at 11:24 am

First game is September 5th. Still PLENTY of time for them to get arrested. :-)

galiberal August 4, 2009 at 12:55 pm

Birthers are Crazy!

Game Fan August 4, 2009 at 1:16 pm

I hate these overly broad statements. And so what if we’re crazy.

galiberal August 4, 2009 at 1:32 pm

Sorry, let me be more specific for you…

Anyone of the 58% of republicans who either believe that Obama was not born in the US or are unsure if he was, are crazy?

This would never bear the scrutiny of statistical analysis. For example, what’s the % of Dems. who have questions and would this fine organization still consider them Democrats for going against the chosen one? Don’t even get me started on political stats because they can be ripped ten ways to Sunday.

MSBassSinger August 4, 2009 at 1:44 pm

There is no requirement for Bulldog players to be natural born citizens. Of course those birthers are crazy!

mac.midnightrider August 4, 2009 at 1:01 pm

No one is excited when I don’t get arrested.

MSBassSinger August 4, 2009 at 1:46 pm

Personally, I am hoping for an undefeated, untied Georgia for Thanksgiving weekend. It will just make the Yellowjacket victory all the sweeter. :)

On a sidenote, look for an upset when UGA beats Oklahoma State. And that’s from a GT fan.

Icarus August 4, 2009 at 1:58 pm

Flag on the play for premature celebration.

The high water mark for arrests has traditionally been the weekend after practice begins. That would be this weekend.

debbie0040 August 4, 2009 at 2:01 pm

Roll Tide !!!!

TPNoGa August 4, 2009 at 2:21 pm

Wow, talk about setting the bar low.

GO GATORS!!!!

Steve Ellis August 4, 2009 at 5:30 pm

Wow, a Gator commenting on the discipline of a team! At least when there is an arrest at Georgia, Coach Richt actually takes disciplinary action against them.

GO DAWGS!!!!

rugby August 4, 2009 at 7:03 pm

FSU wins a national championship this year.

Icarus August 4, 2009 at 7:09 pm

29 Years is a long time Rugby. You’ll understand that soon enough.

TPNoGa August 5, 2009 at 11:22 am

Now THAT is funny!

Kellie August 4, 2009 at 7:11 pm

football?? You must be kidding!

rugby August 4, 2009 at 8:26 pm

Note the capitalization. :)

Kellie August 4, 2009 at 8:51 pm

What’s up with all the grammar lessons lately? Everyone’s playing teacher.
;-)

Buzzfan August 4, 2009 at 8:43 pm

No dawgs arrested? Wow.

If the GA were in session, Eric Johnson would be drafting a resolution as we speak. :-Þ

debbie0040 August 4, 2009 at 8:47 pm

Now guys, whether you are a Gator, Dawg, or Crimson Tider, there is something we all can agree on. We all hate Tennessee!!!!

Kiffin has a bad case of foot in mouth disease…

Bill Simon August 4, 2009 at 8:52 pm

I like TN every time they play UGA.

TPNoGa August 5, 2009 at 11:24 am

Now that I can 100% agree with. Heck, I even pull for UGA when they play the vols.

debbie0040 August 4, 2009 at 8:58 pm

The Florida – Tennessee game should be fun to watch this year.

Georgia Tech has a great Coach and will suprise a lot of people on how well they will do…

debbie0040 August 4, 2009 at 9:04 pm

Alabama plays Virginia Tech at the Georgia Dome September 5th. A big Bama pep rally is planned at STATS Friday night . Come party with the next National Champions :) :0

TPNoGa August 5, 2009 at 11:21 am

The Gators are gonna be there????

benevolus August 5, 2009 at 10:37 am

Good news for Georgia Tech too: No football players are known to be convicted terrorists.
I can feel the momentum building.
