Congratulations to Josh McKoon, a frequent poster here on PP, for an outstanding start out of the gate.
The Committee to Elect Josh McKoon filed its first campaign finance report with the State Ethics Commission today, reporting nearly $45,000 raised since announcing McKoon’s candidacy for State Senate District 29 on June 9.
McKoon said, “It is overwhelming and humbling to have the support of so many grassroots activists and community leaders in District 29. I never would have imagined we would raise more than $40,000 in a couple of weeks. I am more grateful for the broad base of support that this demonstrates. I feel blessed that so many friends have confidence in our effort to bring conservative initiatives back to the State Capitol. I look forward to traveling throughout the district over the next few weeks to meet with citizens and listen to community leaders.”
McKoon’s campaign raised $10,000 online in six days through interest gathered over the internet from friends and colleagues. McKoon raised a total of $ 43,687 in just 21 days.
Campaign Committee Member and Synovus Senior Vice President Lucius Morton stated, “Josh has demonstrated his commitment to this race by putting forward a tremendous effort in raising nearly $45,000 in just 21 days. His ability to work hard and understand the issues is second to none.”
Sam Rawls, Chairman of the Committee to Elect Josh McKoon, added, “The performance of Josh raising nearly $45,000 in a few weeks shows the energy and commitment he will bring to serving the people of District 29. As his campaign chairman, I am proud of the strong effort Josh is making to uphold our conservative values in Atlanta.”
