From a campaign press release:
Former State Senator Brian Kemp filed his June 30 campaign contribution disclosure report with an impressive $267,170.00 raised from over 425 donors across the state. This total does not include any personal loans or contributions to inflate the totals.
Also, he’s got a huge list of early endorsers in his press release. You can see the whole thing here.

Quite the list of endorsers.
Agreed. Very impressive list!
Two straight slanderous attack posts from Erick on The Ox.
So so so so so sad.

Not really. This is a post on Kemp.
I heard Erick changed Ox’s wikipedia entry
Really? How?
Good numbers. I’d like to see Kemp campaign a little harder so that he can score a bigger win in the Primary.
Congrads and thank goodness for an Episcopalian, way too many Methodists running for other offices. Having raised $800k + for AG Commissoner race last time, hopefully he can make the magic 1 Million this time.
In this economy I don’t know if Kemp will be raising $1 million. But I wish him well.
Great release. Impressive list of local officials from all corners of the state.
Is the news that SpaceyG is a woman?
Brian Kemp is a woman?
Kemp is strong. Good guy. Glad to see him making a comeback!
WIth 425 donors that is about $500 or more per donor. How much did his list of supporters contribute to him? I would like to see how much these sponsors gave him. Money is money so no matter how he raised it he has done well. But I want to see how many average voters gave to his campaign.
Actually, closer to $625/donor. And most of it came from around the Athens area, very little outside of there. But then again, other than legislators, his support was much the same way.
From legislators:
State Sen Butterworth ($500)
State Sen Hamrick ($1,500) <- 2 contributions, one as 'Bill Hamrick' for $500, the other as 'Senator Bill Hamrick' for $1,000
State Rep Bill Hembree ($250)
State Sen Judson Hill ($250)
Senator Ralph Hudgens ($6,100)
Jackson for Senate Campaign ($500) (Appling, GA, no first name)
John D Bulloch Jr Campaign ($5,000)
Mark Hamilton for State House 23 ($250)
Senator Jeff Mullis ($1,000)
Ross Tolleson for State Senate ($1,000)
Senator Jack Hill Campaign ($250)
Preston Smith ($1,000)
Terry England Campaign ($500)
Larry O'Neal Campaign ($500)
Grant for Senate ($1,000)
Friends of Tommy Williams ($1,000)
Friends of Joe Wilkinson ($250)
Friends of Chip Pearson ($2,000)
Friends of Bill Heath ($500)
Friends for Chip Rogers – Senate ($1,500)
Committee to Elect Jim Cole ($2000)
Citizens for Calvin Hill ($200)
Chance for Senate ($1,000)
Just ran that list through Excel, total I found (may have found a couple of others from the disclosure and put them in my Excel sheet) was $28,500 from 26 legislators/campaigns. I may have missed a legislator or two if I didn’t recognize their name and they didn’t somehow indicate they were a member of the General Assembly on this form.
Kemp will win the Primary and go on to be our next SOS,and that is a GOOD thing.
Looks like Doug MacGinnitie is keeping up though:
“Today our campaign will release our first financial disclosure report, and I wanted to share the good news with you first. In the last few months, we have taken in over $260,000 from over 265 contributors from every corner of our state.”
