Because South Fulton Guy asked for it.

And if he lives in South Fulton, he’s already been punished enough.

Anyone can edit my wikipedia profile any time they want. Since no one believes I should have a wikipedia profile in the first place, no one will believe it anyway.

Jason Shepherd July 2, 2009 at 7:38 pm

oh, and why doesn’t it even mention peachpundit.com on your profile Icky?

Because I haven’t paid an Oxendine staffer to update it, and Joe doesn’t appear to be as interested in pimping my PR machine as he was the Frigtards.

Icarus,

I do and thanks….

Icarus July 2, 2009 at 7:49 pm

Me, My father, grandfather, and great grandfather (and possbily great-great grandfather, but I think he was the first of the family to move up from Pike Co) were all born in South Fulton.

I still claim Fayette native status, as I was only born in South Fulton hospital, but the family already lived in Fayette by then.

Jason’s not fat.

Jason Shepherd July 2, 2009 at 8:05 pm

I could to stand to lose about 15 more pounds. I guess that makes me kind of fat.

Hey, how many of you have had Frankie Muniz play you in a movie? I will also add that Amanda Bynes played my love interest.

Given Muniz’s age, it was only about my younger years and they did take some liberties regarding my bio.

Pine Knot July 2, 2009 at 9:06 pm

You have a goal or date to lose that 15 by? I could stand to lose a few as well. Guess most of us could. As much time as we spend on PP. Hook a laptop up to a treadmill is our plan.

Jason Shepherd July 2, 2009 at 11:34 pm

Laptop powered only by treadmill is what I would need.

Tommy_a2b July 3, 2009 at 7:52 am

That’s funny!

Icarus July 2, 2009 at 8:06 pm

Perhaps I should be live blogging “The Office”?

Doug Deal July 2, 2009 at 8:10 pm

You should be live blogging the thread of dreams.

Icarus July 2, 2009 at 8:12 pm

Most of our readers can’t handle the grandson of Thread of Dreams.

IndyInjun July 2, 2009 at 10:21 pm

That was fun in a loony sort of way.

Rug, JK, Ick, Deal, and Jace made it happen.

ugadog July 2, 2009 at 8:13 pm

I still vote for Erick Erickson to resign and to prohibit anyone named Will Williams, John Johnson, Doug Douglas, Dick Dickens, Jay Jayson, or anyone else who has their first name in their last name, from taking his place as head douche.

ByteMe July 3, 2009 at 1:49 pm

head douche

Isn’t that anatomically…

Never mind.

Pine Knot July 2, 2009 at 9:03 pm

I’m just a county in southern Kentucky.

That wiki entry for ASH is hilarious.

Since this is an open thread I recommend this clip.

Drill Baby Drill EP. 2: Reap The World Wind

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1uOOujRTVg

Sanford was right. This must be a “world wind” (one of the unintentionally hilarious typos from Sanford’s sexy emails). A mistress that he totally loooves, plus all these other women he made out …

Since this is an open thread, here’s my comment for the Fourth. All the public servants and schoolteachers should have their fat government pensions converted over to social security, just like the rest of us poor schmucks who are paying taxes to support their ilk. They are the bs aristocracy of the country feeding off the working class, and it’s time for a tea party.

NonPartisanGA July 3, 2009 at 11:50 am

Harry,

People are paying taxes to pay the salaries of government workers who provide services. Apart from US Senators and Congressmen there aren’t windfall salaries in government.

Part of the reason there are government pensions is government salaries are significantly less than the private sector. If you want to reduce one benefit, will you need raise salaries.

I’ll bet you are in favor of Uncle Obama regulating salaries in the private sector. I think he should cut your compensation too.

Harry July 3, 2009 at 12:32 pm

Nope, government workers are now comparatively far better off than 98% of their counterparts in the private sector. Maybe 20 years ago what you said was true, but thanks to government unions it’s now weighted in favor of government employment, and we can’t afford to fund your defined benefit plan pension plans any more. Come over to the social security system with the rest of us for whom you ostensibly work.

Dash Riptide July 3, 2009 at 12:48 pm

I agree. Employment contracts are for suckas.

rugby July 3, 2009 at 12:49 pm

WTF?

Jason Shepherd July 3, 2009 at 1:08 pm

However, government employee unions are pretty weak in Georgia. I have looked out what the feds pay for a lot of jobs and was shocked at the salaries. Pay was sometimes double for the same types of jobs I did when I worked for the state.

rugby July 3, 2009 at 3:14 pm

Might it also be that federal work has greater responsibility than state level?

Jason Shepherd July 3, 2009 at 3:50 pm

Doubtful

Bill Simon July 4, 2009 at 8:00 pm

Define “responsibility.”

drjay July 3, 2009 at 3:59 pm

dude what are you talking about–as someone who has worked in both the public and private sector–i’m going to disagree with this assertion–also gov’t pensions are not unlike the retirement one can get in the private sector with ira’s and 401ks and the like–it’s not a one or the other deal…

Harry July 3, 2009 at 5:03 pm

But you’re a doctor, right?

drjay July 3, 2009 at 6:01 pm

meaning what?

Harry July 3, 2009 at 6:17 pm

Meaning you can probably afford to heavily fund a plan, retire at 55, and provide a monthly payout stream over the remainder of you life comparable to what a retired government worker would receive. The typical retired schoolteacher pulls $45-55k/year. I know one retired schoolteacher whose husband died, who is receiving both her and his pensions to the tune of $90+k/year.

How many private-sector employees have enough assets built up in a plan to pay out even 30k per year for the rest of their life?

Q: Uponst whom shall I whoop?
A: The political consulting industry

I hold all of y’all personally and partially responsible for the sad state of affairs in our Nation, our State, and our GOP. To candidates: You have the right and responsibility to “Just say NO” to your political operative (POLYP) when confronted with clever trickery.

Campaign funding reform, disallowing legislators to pick their voters vis a vis redistricting, and focusing campaigns on the many pressing issues are prerequisites to actual change. Instead of the ABSURD pap yammered about above.

Political consulting industry – Murky, costly, unregulated, unknown to most, and yet, a dangerous necessity to become a lawmaker.

Kingmakers, Inc. history will not treat y’all well.
