Duh. We don't have a Governor or legislature that seems to want to fully engage on anything other that punishing immigrants, limiting blacks voting rights, and punishing gays.

Tell me something they've dealt with effectively that's really important.

Georgia has one high school in the top 200. Newsweek last week. (We're the ninth biggest state with 10 million people. North Carolina has 25 of the top 200. Ala-dam-bama has two in the top 50.

We have the third highest rate of juvenile obesity.

We have 48 of the top 100 counties in the nation for HIV infection.

We never get beyond 49th on the SAT.

We have a State School Superintendent who is literally afraid of the work "evolution."

Alabama is recruiting science and math teachers in the Phillipines. Are we even recruiting science and math teachers?

We pay millions in taxpayer money and tax credits to get NCR to move here from Ohio. Somehow it doesn't feel as good as getting the Koreans to invest at West Point.

We have a governor who is a foolish teetotalling country veterinarian who's great legacy was to be Go Fish Georgia, and who has run like a scalded dog from anything remotely progressive, particularly from any effort to expand mass transportation (except his recent (????) conversion to high speed rail.

Go DAWGS.
