…and yes, Deal voted against Cap and Trade

by Jason Shepherd on June 26, 2009

Rumors have been bouncing around the internet since Sean Hannity mistakenly said on his radio show today that Nathan Deal would be supporting Cap and Trade.

Deal’s office has repeatedly reminded those who have been calling in that the Congressman has often spoken out against cap and trade and Hannity has since retracted his statement.

Since when should anyone believe anything Hannity says?

Bill Simon June 26, 2009 at 10:28 pm

Careful…Erick is a diehard worshipper of Sir Sean.

Thanks for setting the record straight guys! I was one of the folks answering the phones at his Gainesville office this afternoon, needless to say, I’m no loner a very big fan of Sean. He might want to start checking his facts before letting things like that slip and cause so much commotion.

Hannity doesn’t need facts. He just needs stupid people to listen to him so he can sell ad time. It’s ENTERTAINMENT, not news or even clear thoughts.

Someone has to be the bad guy in Hannity’s world. Your boss got tagged to be “it”. No skin off Sean’s back, huh?

Don’t feel too bad about it omp2010. I had Rush do something similar to Newt when I worked for him.

To be fair to Sean, no media source is right all the time. That’s why newspapers have to print retractions and they aren’t reporting in real time. Not even Rush claims to be right 100% of the time. I think he’s claiming 98% these days.

Besides, he was trying to get info out fast so people could call. And they did call! lol It didn’t hurt anyone.

“Fair to Sean?”

“Fair to Sean Hannity” would be to give him twice-daily swirlies. He deserves them often and repeatedly.

Doug Deal June 27, 2009 at 9:03 pm

Bill, after his high school experience, he is likely immune to the effect of a good “blue swirlie” by now.

Bill Simon June 29, 2009 at 1:06 am

With the blue tinge to this thread, it seems like we are ALL experiencing a swirlie every time we post…

(Damn you, Wagar!!!)

It is entertainment and ratings first all else is a far second!
