According to AccessNorthGA.com, former Gainesville Mayor and candidate for State Senate Mark Musselwhite wanted to get everything out there and be totally open with the public. The article reports:
“Ranger Brandon Walls with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said authorities received complaints that 43-year-old Mark Musselwhite of Gainesville was walking nude on Earls Ford Road and around a campsite near the road.”
No word yet if Earls Ford Road is part of the Appalachian Trail.

Perhaps he saw the bumper sticker that says “Hike Naked. It puts color in your cheeks.” and thought it was a good idea.
Is there a bumper sticker that says, ” hike drunk and naked?”
Either way, it still puts color in your cheeks.
My favorite part of the report is, “I asked him why he did not have any clothes on, and he said he was hot and had been in the creek. At that point he wanted to know why we were there and what he was doing wrong. I advised him that we had gotten complaints about a man walking around nude in the area. Still nude, he told me that it was not him. I said the ccomplaintant had specifically said his campsite, and the fact that he was still nude made me think it was him.”

I don’t know Tommy. Lee’s a dentist and has all of that access to the laughing gas. One small tank leak and it could be all over for him too.
Of course I do freely admit that I’m and anti-dentite so what I say about dentists you need to take with a grain of salt.

Well the real question is whether he was naked, which means he had no clothes on or whether he was nekkid, which means he had no clothes on and was up to no good. There is a difference in the two terms. Nekkid is not simply the Southern way of saying, “naked.”

You’ve got the wrong Musselwhite. Mark is only 43 years old and he grew up in Louisiana. There is another Mark Musselwhite in Gainesville that actually grew up here.

That must be the son of Charles Musselwhite.
It’s an unusual name so a lot of people get them mixed up which is bad for the other one today.

Kellie, you probably assume I hate Mark. Well I don’t. Any man who has not been in a very emabarrassing situation is not really a man. Also most men stop being embarassed a couple of days after the event. When embarrassed your friends will call and laugh and eventually you will laugh too. At that point it is over and you move on.
My question was serious. At this point I would think Mark is mostly over this and we are all getting are good laugh. You should not be embarrassed. Why would you be, just because you know Mark well? You should smile like you are in your photo and say, “well only Mark would be that crazy” and then you laugh. On the other hand Clint Austin should be embarrassed and he probably will be for a long time.

I am embarrassed because I have taken up for him many times. I also feel sorry for his wife, who is my closest friend and their daughter.
You are right – Mark probably isn’t embarrassed, he’s probably irritated now due to all the calls and questions.
It’s a stretch for you to bring Clint into this.
Think what you want but I don’t hate either of you. There is a song call I’m not gonna waste my hate on you. That’s how I feel about most things. Hate is a powerful emotion and requires a lot. I will tell you I am not a Mark fan but no hate is left. I don’t know you well enough to hate ya so don’t think of it.
In regards to Clint, it’s not a stretch. I am pretty sure he wishes this had not happened.

As far as Clint goes, he worked on Mark’s campaign 3 years ago. I doubt that this bothers him.
I’m not going there, but the thought of going camping is good. For the sake of all concerned, I will leave my clothes on if I go.
