John, Bush is not President. His administration and policies are history. America is experiencing the dismantling of the free enterprise system. We peasants have but one thing to use, that is our voice and energy to protest. Protest we will.

I did not agree with the Obama plan but the Bush, Clinton and congress did way more harm than Obama via credit swap rules, loan guarantees, lax audits……

John, the fact is, in politics you better squash it before it starts. Ask any legislator, it is easier to kill a piece of legislation that let it get a vote. Obama is the exception. In less than 3 months he has done more to destroy freedom and the free enterprise system than any of his predecessors. I can only imagine what the next 3.75 years hold.

Most folks don’t pay attention to politics until their taxes go up or their rights infringed. This analytical president has harnessed the eyes and ears of a disgruntled public that is watching their 401(k) plans flushing down a toilet while the president has his Wednesday cocktail parties at the White House. Were watching this analytical president pander and promote the most un-productive element of society (his florida town hall meeting) while we’re working to pay for his massive spending proposals, now law.

George Bush inherited a 5 trillion dollar debt. He and the Republicans ran it up an additional 3 trillion (remember the dastardly war?). We threw the bums out and obtained another set of incompetence, who piled on another 2 trillion of debt. Now this highly analytical Einstein has added additional debt exceeding a trillion dollars and proposing another 3 trillion!!!! Yeah, this is analytical. And you question why Rush and the rest of mainstream America have their panties in a wad?!!!

I have many friends and relatives that I disagree on politics yet still respect them. Gates even pointed out Obama is more intellectually curious than Bush. I think Obama would be very interesting to engage in conversation about policy. The Rush crowd of demonizing people they disagree with is killing the GOP. Why not point out the policy deference without being nasty?

The countries with best the best HDI rating are Sweden, Norway, Denmark. Not exactly conservative models.

Take a tour of pretty much any middle eastern country. They sit on the world’s massive oil reserves, yet they live in abject poverty. When in college, I spent a summer in Zambia, working in a school. While that certainly makes me know expert, but the observations from 29 years are go are still relevant today. Zambia sits on a wealth of the world’s mineral supply (copper, uranium, diamonds etc.). Free health care for all. The main highway from Lusaka to Livingstone was a one lane road. They called it “suicide highway”. Each vehicle got to keep 2 tires on the road and 2 tires on the dirt…. The schools had a unique testing feature. If you didn’t pass a competency test in the 5th, 7th and 9th grades you were done with school. The uneducated are the vast majority, most don’t even attend school.

Still today their infrastructure is in shambles, the school I worked in is closed, AIDS is of epidemic proportions and their socialist policies have pretty much kept that country destroyed. It’s a shame, because it is gorgeous and rich in so many assets.

The free enterprise system, along with representative republic that adheres to a conservative philosphy is the platform for a good society. I see nothing to promote either coming out of this congress or President Obama’s administration…. He keeps pandering to the lowest common denominator.

No one who thinks this resolution is a good idea will ever cast a vote for the Republicans anyway. Don’t get hysterical.

We’ve honored a lot of people under the Gold Dome with similar resolutions who were far less deserving. Hell, we named highways and roads after the clinically insane. (Cynthia McKinney Parkway). Opposing this gets us nothing but a smaller party and more time in the political wilderness.
