There are tea parties going on all over the place on April 15th. If you have committed to going to one, consider Macon.

Chris Krok, the morning talk host on AM 940 and I are putting together a Tea Party at noon on April 15th in front of Macon’s City Hall.

I’ll be there. He’ll be there. Rumor has it John Oxendine might even show up.

Of all the ways to celebrate my birthday, that’s probably the worst.

debbie0040 March 19, 2009 at 10:30 am

Erick, add yours to the big list. We have 150 scheduled nationwide for April 15th. We can help publicize yours . Contact Sherri Reese.

Rumor is fact. Oxendine will be there.

North Ga Indy March 19, 2009 at 10:54 am

Oxendine will be there.

Ooohh, I’ll see if I have plans that day. If I’ve got free tome, I may fly down in my C-130. :-)

Progressive Dem March 19, 2009 at 11:04 am

I have a tea bag for you.

North Ga Indy March 19, 2009 at 11:24 am

Can’t come. I’ve got a League of Men Conference to speak at and I also have to commemorate the 97th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. How can you start a Tea Party? Do you need a license or a job or both or neither?

Doug Deal March 19, 2009 at 11:26 am

Well, Erick, I will be there, and will likely take a number of pictures and video to send to various blogs.

North Ga Indy March 19, 2009 at 11:33 am

I will be there

Now I have an even better reason not to go!!!

Tinkerhell March 19, 2009 at 12:13 pm

Heard about this on 940 (for the few minutes I listen) this morning.
I’ll be there with my “Guns save lives” button on!

Good work to both you & Krok for putting this together.

md_ralston March 19, 2009 at 12:57 pm

UGA College Republicans will be hosting a Tea Party on April 15th. More information will be coming out soon.

Know Nothing March 19, 2009 at 1:46 pm

These tea party rallies are dumb. Wasn’t the whole point of the tea party to go beyond rallying and protesting a tax on tea (among other things)? So instead of rallying and sending tea to your elected officials, stop paying your taxes. That’s what the colonists did.

True Grit March 19, 2009 at 1:57 pm

The colonists didn’t have the IRS……King George is looking a lot better…

Howard Roark March 19, 2009 at 1:59 pm

It was great to see you at the TSA conference last week in Athens.

md_ralston,

We can help publicize it for you and even help with planning. We can add you to our site. Email me

debbie0040 March 19, 2009 at 2:02 pm

Newt has signed on as one of the national sponsors..

Buzzfan March 19, 2009 at 2:02 pm

So THAT’S where Krok landed! Had no idea.

Know Nothing March 19, 2009 at 2:05 pm

True Grit-

I don’t even think your statement is debateable at this point.

Goldwater Conservative March 19, 2009 at 2:45 pm

These tea parties are stupid.

If you don’t want high taxes you shouldn’t have elected people that blew the surplus money.

Ronald Daniels March 19, 2009 at 3:01 pm

I’ll be there.

seenbetrdayz March 19, 2009 at 4:26 pm

The government needs a few hints. Writing to them or calling them up doesn’t do it for them anymore.

Goldwater Conservative March 19, 2009 at 7:04 pm

and Tea parties are supposed to get their attention?

Start contributing and fundraising large sums of money…sorry, free speech. That will get their attention.

Albany Area Tea Party
April 15

Leesburg Courthouse

I’m helping get the word out. Only real reason I’m going is to try to network/recruit.

Maurice Atkinson March 19, 2009 at 8:36 pm

Confirmed speakers for the Middle Georgia Tea Party hosted by Chris Krok are Commissioner John Oxendine, Representative Allen Peake, Representative Tony Sellier and Councilman Erick Erickson. Other guests are pending. We’re hoping for a large turnout. They need to feel the heat.

I absolutely love Chris Krok’s theme “The Peasants Uprising”. For too long they say were stupid. However they are the ones who don’t pay their taxes, blow our money and stimulate their wallets. All the while they are plunging us into debt, increased taxes and an unstable economic future. If all we peasants can do is protest, then protest we will.

Happy Birthday!

Icarus March 19, 2009 at 11:05 pm

Happy Birthday Rugby.

How old are you now as measured by the metric system?

Doug Deal March 19, 2009 at 11:20 pm

Don’t make this too much about Chris Krok. It is supposed to be about protesting the government’s misguided direction, not engrandizing a small timey talk show host. If this turns into a bash Lucas rally, it will really backfire and turn into a bad joke.

Icarus March 19, 2009 at 11:24 pm

Doug,

Kiss your mother’s ass and go straight to hell, loser.

Doug Deal March 19, 2009 at 11:29 pm

Already there, Ick. (Posting on PP)

Icarus March 19, 2009 at 11:40 pm

Posting here? I thought you meant living in Macon.

Doug Deal March 19, 2009 at 11:42 pm

Both. And neither.

Now post an update anout the NCAA pickem.

Icarus March 19, 2009 at 11:45 pm

O.K.,

There were basketball games played today.

Some teams won, some did not.

This somehow affected brackets completed by Peach Pundit posters.

Doug Deal March 19, 2009 at 11:46 pm

How did you not get that AJC gig?

Icarus March 19, 2009 at 11:53 pm

Lib’ral media bias.

Doug Deal March 19, 2009 at 11:58 pm

Probably they were turned off by your Tanalach media conspiracy connections.

Icarus March 20, 2009 at 12:03 am

Not so much turned off, but intimidated.

Doug Deal March 20, 2009 at 12:04 am

You know Ick, now that it has been definitively disproven that you are Guy Milner, your words just don’t pack as much zing as they used to. Wierd.

Kellie March 20, 2009 at 5:38 am

Maybe Icarus did get the AJC job. He just doesn’t want us to know his true identity.

seenbetrdayz March 20, 2009 at 6:28 am

and Tea parties are supposed to get their attention?

Start contributing and fundraising large sums of money…sorry, free speech. That will get their attention.

Maybe it will, maybe not. Even if it is just a flash in the pan, Dark Knight has the right idea about networking and meeting new people who are just as pissed off as we are.

I don’t have loads of money to contribute, and I don’t know who I’d contribute it to, seeing as both sides really don’t want to do anything about the issues we face.

Kellie March 20, 2009 at 6:56 am

Obama has a new way of identifying possible militia. Go to a tea party, complain about the government or support Ron Paul, and you could be part of a Militia.
Also if you chat on the internet you are a problem.
Be careful who you talk to there. ;-)

Doug Deal March 20, 2009 at 7:44 am

I created a FB group for this event if anyone is interested:

debbie0040 March 20, 2009 at 9:07 am

I have a GREAT suggestion. Let’s all have a Peach Pundit Tea Party in Icarus’s neighborhood. His neighbors would love it – Especially when we knocked on their door to use the restroom :)

North Ga Indy March 20, 2009 at 12:43 pm

Doug,

Kiss your mother’s ass and go straight to hell, loser.

I couldn’t agree more!!!

Doug Deal March 20, 2009 at 1:21 pm

Coming from you NoGaIn, I am flattered.

Thanks.

North Ga Indy March 20, 2009 at 2:08 pm

Coming from you NoGaIn, I am flattered.

Is that supposed to read “No Gain”? Since you said that to a Republican, you must be a Democrat then?

Doug Deal March 20, 2009 at 2:12 pm

NoGain, sorry, you really you do not have enough to offer to waste time typing responses. Have fun posting on you daddy’s computer, and be sure to brush your teeth before bed.

North Ga Indy March 21, 2009 at 8:28 am

you do not have enough to offer to waste time typing responses.

I’ll admit, sometimes I have zilch to offer, but sometimes I talk about the subject at hand, which is Politics.

Have fun posting on you daddy’s computer, and be sure to brush your teeth before bed.

Well, you had to do it before me. BTW, I don’t post on his computer. Never have, never will. If that statement is implying that I’m a child, then let me correct you. I’m 26.
