Sen. Jack Murphy of Cumming (left) says he’d like to see a user tax for strip club patrons and that proceeds go towards child abuse programs and services for child prostitutes.
[Note from Rogue109] There had been a photo of Kiki and Bambi, two strippers, as part of this post. Both Kiki and Bambi had had no comment concerning this legislation, as was stated next to their photo. Since the original posting, several tender and sensitive readers of Peach Pundit asked Erick to remove the photo of two women, dressed in bikinis, stride a pole. To those readers: evidently this is your first day on the internet. If you think that is offensive, you should log off now and never return.

Does the “user tax include” tips? And if so who does the audit? I am sure we have plenty of volunteers.
It is fitting that a Republican from an uptight Republican enclave that would dare to name itself Cumming would introduce a “tease tax”.
When will the name “Bambi” make it back through child-naming circles?
For $20, you can call her Bambi for one, maybe two dances.
Glad he brought it up! This will push the Sunday sales forward and then finally prostitution will be taxed and legalized in GA. Can something else also be legalized and taxed??
*applauds Rouge’s choice of images*
I’m I the only person expecting audible giggles from other lawmakers the first time the phrase “inelastic demand curves” is used during this debate?
Can you imagine the headlines:
“Stripper Bill makes it to Governor’s Desk…”
The strip club scene in this state is sad enough. If these child abuse programs are so important then they should be put in the budget and have money appropriated to them. The government should not be picking out the losers and winners of our socio-economic system.
yeah I’m back from vacation and just found out that i won the PP Fantasy Football league. Unfortunately I came in second in my other league that actually pays out money.
Speaking of fantasy, what do I have to do to make Bambi and Kiki my icon on PP?
PP…I kind of like saying that….
If you want Bambi or Kiki on your PP, you may have to travel to DeKalb County.
Why not Cumming?
There’s a reason I called it the tease tax.
Whenever a politician starts propagating this “proceeds will go to”, maybe it’s time to check out their current accounting procedures. We wouldn’t want to see any “Ms use” of funds.
He’s just afraid someone will tax owners of bad hair pieces…
I hope that whatever Senator represents Climax, GA is the second one to sign onto this bill. For the Children, of course
What a moron! I didn’t know Cumming had any strip clubs?
I guess the lawmaker is getting old and sterile?
This tax was tried in other states and struck down as unconstitutional as there is clearly no connection between adult club patrons and child abuse. What’s next? A tax on parishioneers who go to churches based on the fact some priets and youth ministers have molested children? BTW I thought Republicans were for less government and less taxes? Of course that would be the Libertarian Party.
I’m just mad about somebody beating me to the “Climax, GA” reference. I wasn’t quick on the draw.
Stupid BCS game.
(now has the song “Jive-talkin” in my brain…ju-ju-ju-jive-talking…(something-something-something)…)
Hey what happened to the photo of the legislative interns Bambi and Kiki?
CENSORSHIP!!!!
CENSORSHIP!!!!
WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!
First they took away Bambi and Kiki and I said nothing. Because I wasn’t Bambi or Kiki…
Perhaps they wanted Bambi and Kiki for themselves.
I’m going to send my alternate personality to go check out all the massage parlors in Macon to see where those TMC b***ards are holding them.
Go forth winged one!
I think I found them.
Is $200 a fair price for 15 minutes in the VIP room?
Who’s Stripper Bill, and why is he trying to get on the Governor’s desk?
I heard Bill Simon was looking for work, but for Sonny?
Icarus, that’s dirt-cheap compared to what (I hear) it use to cost at The Gold Club.
I’ve got a brutal mental picture of Chris Farley dancing with a bow tie and no shirt.
