As prescribed by the Constitution, federal law and the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, the fifteen electors representing the state in the electoral college are scheduled to meet today under the Gold Dome at high noon. There, they will formally cast Georgia’s fifteen electoral votes for Arizona Senator John McCain thus bringing to a close the seemingly unending 2008 presidential campaign.

Among the state’s fifteen electors are Peach Pundit contributor Clint Murphy, Ford dealer Allan Vigil, Georgia Republican Party Chair Sue Everhart and Republican National Committee member Alec Pointevint.

Talk about anti-climatic.

11Alive last night reported the shocking news that these people will NOT be voting for Obama. Scandalous!

I’m just wondering if Tom Perdue will stand in front of the door in an attempt to keep Sue Everhart from voting.

Well at least this absolves the great state of GA from responsibility in the Obama fiasco. Although I haven’t met anybody who was gung ho for McShame.

Of course the Globe is just a tabloid. But since so many here would rather stick their fingers in the air to see which way the wind is blowing rather than finding out what’s really going on first…

If that was directed at me, let’s just say I’m laughing AT some of these Republicans and not with them.

Georgia.

Behind the times, as usual.

Georgia Republicans. Now they know what it felt like to ‘defend’ the Alamo.

Can’t the GA GOP pass some sort of rule forbidding RINO-butt-kissing party hacks like Everhart and Pointevint from being electors? You know, something like, “Republican Party electors must have an immediate past history of supporting actual Republicans, and not people who just PRETEND to be Republicans.”
