Elaine Lucas and a Lesson in How Not to Perform Constituent Services

Wow. Just wow. I was forwarded this email exchange. [Editor's Note: Yes, this is Rep. David Lucas's wife.]

Here is the original:

From: Kerinsa M
Sent: Fri 12/12/2008 5:47 PM
To: Lucas, Elaine
Subject: banquet

Mrs. Lucas,

You should take Mayor Reichert’s advice and go to the banquet, assuming you have nothing to hide. Chris Krok is only gaining notoriety by your refusal to be seen in the same room with him. Furthermore, it would be smart to go on his show, so that the same amount of money you stole from us by falsely calling in sick to work could go to charity.

Now here is the response:

You kiss your mother’s ass and go straight to hell, Loser.

Erick,

I think that before your and Krok’s obsession with Elaine is over, you guys are going to owe her a big apology. Over the last twenty years, Elaine has done more to help lead our area’s disadvantaged youth out of poverty than almost anyone in our community.

To attack her for making an inquiry into MPD Internal Affairs policy only shows your and Krok’s ignorance of mid-ga, MPD history.

Since Chief Mike Burns has been head of the MPD, the Internal Affairs policy has been to keep the internal affairs complaints that reflected negatively on him tied up in IA for years, way beyond when they should have been fairly and impartially resolved. By keeping the items in IA, Chief Burns is able to shield them from the Public and Press until everyone forgets about them.

Vic,

Kiss you mother’s ass and go straight to hell, loser.

Game Fan December 13, 2008 at 5:43 pm

Have I mentioned I don’t know a damn thing about GA politics? :)

Erick December 13, 2008 at 5:48 pm

Vic, there is no obsession here. I’m just tired of dancing around it and ignoring her bullying.

I’ve been very public that I think the Chief needs to go. That’s not the point here. The point is Elaine tries to bully people via her spot on Council.

I won’t speak for Chris, but I suspect ratings wise, Elaine is the gift that keeps on giving.

Hoorah Chris! Thanks Erick for posting this lunacy. This is amazing. Politics, Macon style. Surely, Larry Flynt would get a kick out of this. wasn’t he offering a reward or something for exposing corrupt politicians??? This sure makes a boring weekend entertaining.

Our local Bank of America just installed an inch thick bullet proof barrier at the Zebulon Rd branch in the Kroger store. This is a proactive move since Macon’s violent crime problem has reached epidemic proportions. Where’s Ronnie Thompson when you need him.

Also, Erick, any chance City Council will address how they do the math when figuring a pension?

liberator December 13, 2008 at 9:21 pm

Krok is the spineless lunatic! One day he will be able to hold my jock strap if he reforms and becomes a Libertarian!

liberator December 13, 2008 at 9:31 pm

Larry Flynt who is a great champion of the First Amendment would call Krok out for being the hypocrite he is and expose him!

Maurice Atkinson December 13, 2008 at 9:50 pm

But Liberator, who else in Macon’s media community has the you know whats to address Macon’s governmental corruption? Heck, it’s as rampant as the violent crime problem. He hasn’t even scratched the surface. This stuff is the inept hilarious stuff but it opens the door to looking at the core problems. Really wonder why the Commission wholesale rejected an ethics agenda?

I’ve thought about putting up a money tree website. It is blatant and amazing but very complex.

Vic December 13, 2008 at 10:31 pm

Icarus,
Thank you very much. That phrase was a once well guarded, secret term of endearment here in Macon. If they aren’t calling us the armpit of the south, they’re calling us the a$$hole of the south…

Maurice Atkinson December 13, 2008 at 10:51 pm

Vic I think we’ve had a full moon (pardon the pun) for a number of days. You’ve got to admit this is too funny.

Icarus December 13, 2008 at 10:59 pm

Vic,

You’re welcome.

Though I usually use those descriptions for Columbus, myself.

Game Fan December 13, 2008 at 11:29 pm

Who cares guys. It’s the worst corruption that you never hear about. Except on rare occasions.

Tea Party December 14, 2008 at 11:15 am

Sometimes you just gotta call a spade a shovel. I especially like the cap on “Loser”.

I don’t think anyone can honestly make cracks about DeKalb County being the sole laughing stock of Georgia any longer…

Good grief!

Icarus December 14, 2008 at 11:35 am

T,

With Clayton, Atlanta, ,Lithonia, Macon, the State House, and many, many other gvt entities in competition, I’m not even sure you’ll make the top 5 when the new polls come out.

Jmac December 14, 2008 at 1:37 pm

Is it just me or is everyone missing what seems to be the oddest thing in this whole debacle …

That it’s kinda of weird that a psuedo-shock jock is the guest speaker at the police banquet. Are there no actual distinguished citizens from the area who can speak?

Icarus December 14, 2008 at 2:39 pm

JMAC,

Let’s see. We’ve got Erick, Doug Deal, Vic, and Liberator.

Does that answer the question?

ibacondors December 14, 2008 at 5:58 pm

Reading through this subject it amazes me how many people are willing to ignore the real issue. Is it acceptable to have elected officials address anyone regardless of their viewpoint in such an abusive manner? I’d been told that Macon has a reputation for corruption in public officials. Elaine’s assault upon a constituent does nothing to dissuade such a perception.

Regardless of whether this statement is accurate not not, I make no judgement of it, it should not excuse her from being called out for abuse such as this lest we empower our elected officials to believe they can abuse their posts by bullying people or even lining their pockets with tax payers hard earned money.

ibacondors December 14, 2008 at 6:06 pm

Correction to post above, I tried to quote Vic in my comment above. “Over the last twenty years, Elaine has done more to help lead our area’s disadvantaged youth out of poverty than almost anyone in our community.”

From there I went on with “Regardless of whether this statement is accurate not not, “…

liberator December 14, 2008 at 7:23 pm

Maurice ,Krok is a johnny come lately who often lies and misrepresents. Maurice we were exposing corruption when Krok was still in diapers. In fact the way he acts I’m not sure he still isn’t in diapers.

Doug Deal December 14, 2008 at 8:46 pm

ibac,

The voters can do something about that in the next election. If not, the voters get what they deserve.

Icarus,

This venue is too small for me. I would never get my head through the door.

Tea Party December 15, 2008 at 9:19 am

The words, “Watch your back.” come to mind from last years session…

Vic December 15, 2008 at 3:56 pm

Icarus,

Local law enforcement has already tried to shut me up by 1) A Precinct Captain sending out Officers to give erroneuous parking tickets to my immediate neighbors in order to stop me from entering complaints regarding MPD service, 2) “Accidentally” surrounding my house with the Swat Team/Drug Squad at 10p.m. one night, as I typed up the minutes from one of our first Neighborhood Watch meeting. 3) Conspiring with a City Council woman to have me locked up for asking a Neighbor involved in a domestic disturbance, “who stabbed you?”

So, I don’t think i would be considered for speaker at an MPD awards banquet. But if they take one more step in the above mentioned direction, my lawyer has led me to believe that I could own part of Luther Williams Ball Park…

Icarus December 15, 2008 at 4:01 pm

Part? Sounds like owning the back half of a swamp near Disney.

I’d go for all of it.

jsm December 15, 2008 at 5:12 pm

“Vic,

Kiss you mother’s ass and go straight to hell, loser.”

That’s just funny right there–I don’t keer who you are. :)

Vic December 15, 2008 at 7:56 pm

I’m tellin ya jsm, it’s a term of endearment around here.

Doug meant to say he couldn’t get his push mower through the door.

They say the boy has berated Elaine day in and day out for months, i’m glad to see her fighting back.

Trouble Twins December 16, 2008 at 9:32 pm

Love him or hate him the reason that Chris Kroc was invited to speak because he has ALWAYS been pro police. They know who is for them and who is not. So I guess they are just going to miss her and have a really good time without her there.
