Shep, your point is well taken, but it begs the broader question of why politicians are focused on pandering to their base, instead of trying to act bold and reach out to undecideds? Opponent figures the Christian groups have no dog in the hunt of this office, so he ignored their ‘gotcha’ position poll.

And this candidate features an entire panel of ’selected answers’. Blatant attempts at manipulation of The Simple Folk™ , as I gently refer them, is a key I look for in determining the integrity of a candidate.

When I read on a political mailer anything that has to do with intimating that ‘Christians Support Me, therefore I am Godlike’ it is an automatic DQ. They retain 0% credibility, as long as they attempt to tie those two powerful forces together (religion and government).

This candidate gets no vote from me. He panders to the simplest of folk for the wrong reasons. He, and his, are part of the problem.

I do not know nor really support the opponent, but the more we all type, the more it helps me decided my vote.

Sadie Fields left the Christian Coalition and formed the Georgia Christian Alliance. After about a year of no leadership, the Christian Coalition’s national organization asked Beck to try to rebuild the organization in GA. The biggestest difficulty rests in the fact most people can’t separate Fields from the GACC.

I do wonder what is the definition of a “Christian” energy policy, but I would list out every endorsement I had too, especially if it would give me a few more votes in a runoff from voters who may end up looking at personalities.

I emphasize “green”, since a bunch of the programs don’t do anything for the environment but line the pockets of those participating in one of the biggest scams going – the selling of carbon credits. So hypocrites like Gore and Edwards can still in live in grotesque McMansions and fly around in private jets while chuckling, “let them eat cake” as they buy “credits” from some dude who owns a lot of trees.

In other words, why is your position on abortion an important factor in deciding if you are qualified for the job, given you feel it is job related enough to highlight said position on a mailing?

Back in Texas, we call this “pandering”.
