Want to know why the far right has lost its sway? They are out of touch with what the majority of America is talking about. Look at the questions…
- Nothing about the way in Iraq
- Nothing about the economy (except indirectly about the tax cuts)
- Nothing about healthcare
- Nothing about the environment
These issues aren’t Republican or Democrat issues anymore, they are American issues.

What we need are candidates who are prepared to force girls to carry unwanted pregnancies to term, to force gays to remain abstinent, to lock and load with alacrity, to kill Louisiana child rapers, to exalt private property as sacred, and to support prayers at graduation ceremonies that are so watered don’t that they don’t really mean anything to anyone. It’s what Jesus wants for us; who am I to judge?

John Konop November 28, 2008 at 6:34 pm

If the most qualified candidate for PSC with the best plan was for civil unions and pro-choice why would anyone care? What does the PSC have to do with social issues?

Dantes November 28, 2008 at 7:18 pm

yawn. who cares?! This group has made itself completely irrelevant.

Chris November 28, 2008 at 8:39 pm

Based on that, I’m voting Martin on Tuesday.

North Ga Indy November 28, 2008 at 8:41 pm

Chris, why Martin?

North Ga Indy November 28, 2008 at 8:43 pm

I’d rather have Lester Maddox come back from the dead and be our Senator rather than have Martin as our Senator.

Chris November 28, 2008 at 8:45 pm

I’m only nominally pro-life, I support gay civil-unions (Marriage is not a matter fog govt), I support cloning research, and oppose english as an offiical language, oppose registering sex offenders till the fix the definition of an offender to refer to predators, and really don’t think voluntary prayer in schools would ever be voluntary.

North Ga Indy November 28, 2008 at 8:48 pm

I’m very pro-life, I don’t support gay civil-unions , I support cloning research, support English as an official language, support registering sex offenders, and support prayer in schools.

atlantaman November 28, 2008 at 9:23 pm

I have to agree with Konop, what do abortion and civil union laws have to do with the PSC?

atlantaman November 28, 2008 at 9:24 pm

Chris- do you not think the boy scouts should meet in public facilities?

Game Fan November 29, 2008 at 12:09 am

I’m pro-choice
pro Terri Schiavo/anti euthenasia
Anti-stem cell
and for eliminating mad scientists from the gene pool.

Rick Day November 29, 2008 at 12:42 am

partisan hack much?

Ye Gods™

Bill Simon November 29, 2008 at 10:38 am

Chris,

You don’t support English as the official language? So, instead of having one language that this country can rely on to communicate in business and in life, you’d rather have everyone be required to learn multiple languages?

Chris November 29, 2008 at 10:52 am

I don’t support the idea of a legal official language, and I certainly don’t support a constitutional amendment to do so.

That said, I also don’t believe that the Government needs to bend over backward to provide every IRS or Federal Register in Urdu either.

Chris November 29, 2008 at 10:54 am

Atlanta,

I don’t think it is a matter a UNITED STATES Senator should be addressing. That is a matter for state legislators.

That said, the boyscouts should have the same access to public facilities that *insert name of gay organization* should have.

travis fain November 29, 2008 at 11:10 pm

Jim Martin: Now against voluntary prayer.

I’m going to start walking around saying that about my friends.

EAVDad November 30, 2008 at 9:00 pm

Hate to inject “facts” into this piece of crap, but..

- “Voluntary prayer” is allowed in the schools. There is a “moment of quiet reflection” that was put in place to ALLOW for prayer in school.
- Boy Scouts CAN meet in public schools. I know several that do.
- Sex offenders DO have to register.

Just a few facts. You may return to your the campaign literature from a deluded irrelevant group now.

“Vote for Bubba. He’s gonna make sure them queers cant get electricity or phones”

Oh yeah. Them queers don’t deserve any of the rights that us straight guys have.

StevePerkins December 1, 2008 at 7:25 pm

What do tax cuts, offshore drilling, and English-only have to do with Christianity?!? Well, obviously we all know that they mean EVERYTHING as a realpolitik matter… but shouldn’t the religious right even *pretend*?

Chris December 1, 2008 at 7:50 pm

Didn’t Jesus support drilling for oil in the Sea of Galilee? And we all know that John the Baptist got is start protesting Roman Taxation.
