No, no they weren’t.

The opening sentence is all a lie.

Despite trailing much of the game, the Falcons were in a position to steal a win Sunday against Philadelphia.

Late in the game, and trailing by six points, the Falcons defense forced the Eagles to punt. They had not timeouts, but rookie quarterback Matt Ryan had a chance. It was a better chance than two weeks ago when he lead the Falcons to a win over Chicago with just 11 seconds left. This time he would have more that two minutes.

I did not see the game because I was up in N. GA. mountains, but they were going to lose this one anyway. They should cut the returner today!

I wanted M. Ryan to get a chance so that he could learn.
