You’re forgetting about Sonny’s “Fast Forward” road building program. It was to build during six years of Sonny’s tenure 18 years worth of economic development roads in the boondocks (i.e. widen to four lanes roads that have about as much traffic as neighborhood street in metro Atlanta) by commiting future federal funds —and folks wonder why there’s a budget crisis at GDOT.

I said I approve of the job the General Assembly is doing. That doesn’t mean my approval is unconditional, nor absolute.

Sonny is the black spot on the state GOP’s record. And if the General Assembly doesn’t do something about him, that support will not remain.

And with actions like this, you still approve of the Republican leadership in this state according to your previous post? Until this year with the $2.5 million no-bid contract to McKinsey that’s given us “Investing in Tommorrow’s Transportation Today” Go-Fish represents almost the entirety of the governor’s transportation agenda. The Republicans have been given a chance to run Georgia and they’ve blown it.

BTW – C-TRAN’s (Clayton County’s bus system) motto is “Tomorrow’s Transportation Today” so I’m not sure that IT3 was such as wise choice for naming when you invite comparisons with Clayton County in the current environment.
