I thought there was nothing to it at first. But then Obama did not produce the long birth certificate to be examined and verified.

If it was truly evidence that would get him bounced, he would either be forced to withdraw from consideration, the electors would become faithless so they aren’t stuck with President Joe, or the Supreme Court would hear the case in an emergency session like they did in 2000.

But as pretty much every reasonable person agrees, the claim is ridiculous and is making a number of closet cases look like desperate fools.

But, like Doug said, it’s moot since it is a ridiculous claim.

I think the citizenship thing is nuts as his mother was a citizen, but if Hillary wanted to help herself the most, she would wait until Obama won the election but before the electoral votes were cast or even before they were counted.

Then, have some right wing group release the information and disqualify him. The electoral college would then have to vote on another candidate and Hillary would be the only Dem with any shot of a majority, so she would likely be the one they voted for. She would at least meat the Constitutional requirement of being in the top 3.

If she waited until after they were cast but before they were counted, the House could still potentially select her, as she would be in a big tie for third at zero votes. Biden would not assume the Presidency unless no President was elected.

If I was her and I was concerned more about myself than the country, and had the goods on him, I might just wait until after the electoral ballots are made. Then “defend” Obama against the charges and maybe even admit that she had seen the evidence and that she was not convinced, while others brought him down.

Of course, all of this is moot, as it is a ridiculous claim.

Funny thing about “law”…it is open to interpretation. Sorta like…college diplomas, actually. JUST because a diploma from UGA was discovered in your car that does not mean you actually attended classes and took any tests. You could have just been a good driver to catch the diploma in your back window.

Barack is a U.S. citizen. He has always been a U.S. citizen. And just because he may have been a citizen of another nation does not negate his U.S. citizenship.

I point you to a recent incident in Georgia Tech’s past…namely that of one George O’Leary, for whom it was PRESUMED for many years that his resume was 100% accurate in reference to him graduating from Notre Dame.

The lesson learned is, you should NEVER rely on someone else doing the proper research before you. Don’t presume the Clintons had smart enough researchers to do the background research….because thta relies on you ASSuming something that may be incorrect.
