“Nonpartisan” ACORN, La Raza, ACLU, NAACP, etc. partnership group sending 600 election monitors to GA

“The nonpartisan group Election Protection said they hope to have 600 volunteer monitors at polling place in metro Atlanta and Macon alert for voting problems,” according to an AP report filed today.

Here’s a little info on this “nonpartisan voter protection coalition” that is hoping to so closely monitor the Peach State’s polling places: it counts as its partners over 100 centrist, law-abiding, non-fringe, non-partisan organizations like ACORN, Democraciá USA, the Georgia Coalition of the Peoples’[sic] Agenda, the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials, the AFL-CIO, the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement, the national NAACP and nine local branches, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, U.S. PIRG, the National Council of La Raza, the People for the American Way Foundation, the ACLU, BET, and Progressive Future.

Oh, and NBC-Universal, with their down-the-middle, entirely objective “news” outfit MSNBC, has joined up as a partner this year, as well.

“Non-partisan” voter rights advocacy FTW!

And I should ad, by law these organizations can not be partisan.

They may be ideological but they aren’t partisan.

Nice try though. Save your indignation for later please.

  2. dorian says:

That is just stupid. It isn’t even worth a response other than to say how utterly brain dead a person would have to be to think that. Not partisan? Give me a break.

  3. dorian says:

Be sure you stock up on cash and cigs for election day. Gotta buy those votes. Oh, yea, and swing by the Community Service Boards so you can force all the mentally challenged to vote for Obama too. And then stop by Disney, I hear Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck registered to vote for Obama. And bring a few knives to carve “B”‘s into the face of McCain supporter’s, so they don’t feel intimidated. And be sure you vote at least 64 times, as a liberal, you have no doubt been oppressed and deserve to vote 64 times more than everyone else. Then, swing by county and take absentee ballots to all the felons.

Yes, it is such a noble crusade you are on rugby.

  4. bowersville says:

Nobody on this board has ever claimed RF was anything other than brain dead.

How can anybody get worked up over election monitors. Nobody should, if in reality that’s what they are.

But, you can call it an election monitor all you want, that’s not what’s happening.

Prelude of what’s to come in a Socialist society, Chicago thuggery at it’s best right here in Macon Georgia.

  5. candlerpark says:

If there is nothing shady going on at the polling place what does it matter who is ‘monitoring’? It everything is on the up & up than noone should have anything to worry about, right?

  6. bowersville says:

If there is nothing going on at the polling place what does it matter?

Stuffing the ballot box at the end of the day!

  7. dorian says:

It is always refreshing to listen liberals lament over conservatives being victims. Especially considering your entire constituency is founded on the premise that people can’t take care of themselves without government intervention. . .excuse me. . .government handouts, or special laws that tip the scales of “fairness” in your favor. There isn’t any part of your ideology that isn’t based on something for nothing. Now, you’ve taken this whole ideological robin hood philosophy to the electoral process. Can’t win an election? Steal it.

It’s actually pathetic to defend terrorists and thugs, and then play the victim card. Of course, being a hypocrite doesn’t seem to matter much either.

  8. Vic says:

bowersville, you might want to set a 10p.m. blog curfew on your computer, you’re turning into a low rent version of jekyl and hyde.

  10. Bill Simon says:

Seriously, you’ve never observed some polling precincts on an Election Day, have you?

Like, for instance, back in 2000 when a precinct in Cynthia McKinney’s district was held open LONG PAST 7:00 PM.

Yeah, there would be no cheating going on in South Dekalb or South Fulton polls…nahhh…can’t happen…after all, Decaturguy, you, and Chrisishardcore cannot find any evidence of anyone EVER being arrested, therefore, cheating never occurs.

  11. Game Fan says:

I was having a hard time believing she would sit still long enough for a robber to scratch a perfect “B” on her face with a knife. And frankly I don’t know how you would do that with a knife. Looks more like a chemical burn.
