How about a 2X tax credit for donations made to trauma centers.

Just off the cuff, but in the spirit of voluntary participation and rewards to those that make good decisions.

Maybe someone can come up with an incentive for more uninsured to become insured.
Maybe the next Insurance commisioner will have “conservative principles.”

That’s funny. I thought part of the premium already went to a form of bodily injury coverage.

Although it might be a smaller amount than needed, or it might not cover you in your own car, how much will another “tax” benefeit.

As you hear more and more people talk about the huge amounts charged for medical treatment these days, who knows where it will end.

And asking for an “itemized” statement seems to always put a frown on someone.

I believe we have to fund trauma care better/differently than we do now. I just don’t think that adding a tax to already escalating insurance premiums is the way to do it. The insured already pay for the uninsured/underinsured.

And no, I don’t have a better suggestion. But I’m also not (yet) running for Governor.

Gotta take the bitter with the sweet in life. Walls between the have-insurance and the don’t-have insurance do not exist.

Can you build a hospital that will only take insured patients AND be the best possible place for trauma like Grady?

this is probably not the best way to do it –but money for trauma has got to come from somewhere–we are on of the largest states and our number of trauma centers continues to dwindle and those hospitals are constsntly in the red and faced w/ cut care or cut staff types of decisions–at least he is addressing it, maybe it can be a starting point for something better…

Ox is a pandering moron in the mold of George W. Bush. From his fairtax convention, to his Lets bring the RNC to Atlanta, to “We need a leadership summit to solve the gas crisis”, John has blabbered a lot and offered no real answers.

Unless he manages to come up with some substantive policy positions I’ll vote for the democrat rather than Ox.

No worries, there’s still about 18 months for Ox to un-declare his candidacy.
