Sheppie goes to Minneapolis

Jason Shepherd, aka Lt. Col. Sheppie, aka “Cobb needs a front page poster”, will be blogging for Fox 5 Atlanta during the GOP Convention next week. As a delegate he should be able to fill us all in on the interesting dirt, so much as a bunch of old Georgia Republicans can generate interesting dirt.

Check out his blog here.

He also has an interesting lead that Senator Hutchison from Texas may be McCain’s pick.

  1. In Kentucky I’m a full Colonel. More power, more troops to command.

Actually, consider this my break between deployments. Besides, I was busy defending us against Russians on the coast.

Seriously, I’m happy to be launching “Shepherd’s Political Pie” on Fox 5’s website. Maybe I’ll keep it up past the convention. Farris won’t behappy because I won’t be filtering as many juicy tips to him wanting the glory of breaking them myself.

Clint Murphy (a.k.a. Bull Moose) has already told me he likes the name. Must be the Irish in both of us.

  2. Go Jason!

I was going to leave a comment on your Fox5 blog, but I can’t bear to drag myself through yet another registration process on yet another site to get yet another login. I was disappointed to see that you’re resorting to Bill O’Reilly-esque punditry-as-usual when it comes to Michelle Obama’s speech:

“She talked about how much she loved her husband and she even threw in a line about loving our nation. She’s still not proud of our nation, but at least she loves it. It’s a start.”

I get tired of reading commentary like that. Can’t Republicans talk about how the GOP’s policy proposals are better than Obama’s? Aren’t there issues to debate? Or are we just going to thumb our noses at the other side and call them doo-doo heads? Obama and his wife love America and are proud of it. So can we move on to talking about why his policies won’t work?

  3. Bill, I WISH I had all of that chicken money.

Robbie, I will, but part of the point was the evening wasn’t about anything. I couldn’t point-counterpoint because they never made any.

    Being I can’t stand O’Reilly, I think I’m now offended.

Be careful in the airport men’s room. I understand there are a lot of Elected Republicans going in and out of there this week

Hummm … I remember Sheppie saying he was tight on money and could not send contributions to help his State House candidate… and put me to a challege.

I guess schmoozing with ” The Party” is more important than making a real impact on a local level to unseat a liberal.

Well Jason…. you can thank ME when your State House Rep wins this seat.

Did you hear about how Michael Moore thinks it’s awesome that New Orleans could be struck with another deadly hurricane during the GOP convention. It just shows how many libs think, who cares about the lives and billions in dollars lost, as long as it can interfere with the GOP then it’s a good thing.
