I wasn’t aware that the threshold was to actually say something offensive, but just that someone might be able to decide that they might be offended. And if anyone decides this, Erick must apologize. It’s the law.

Erick should hold some sort of “gun buyback” program.

Maybe set-up a combined fundraiser/Hooter’s “trade-in your guns for 2 dozen wings and some hotties to pose with you holding your guns for the last time” type of event.

    Icarus –

I’m aware that’s what you think. In my opinion, most of the time when people are objecting to racial innuendo on this site it’s because something is either unmistakably offensive, or because someone is deliberately baiting people who are sensitive about racial issues. Y’all are obsessed about race on this website.

No, jkga, we’re actually not. We’re obsessed with politics. And the NAACP is merely race baiting a situation against someone who was actually trying to solve the problem of disproportionate discipline within the black student body. And they’re doing this for their own political gain, not for the improvement of either the schools or for African Americans.

We’ll call out racism where it exists, either on this site or in political actions. We won’t demand phoney apologies from someone just so the NAACP can feel good about themselves while they undermine the cause they pretend to support.

The only race people on this website might be obsessed with is in Daytona.

We are a bunch of habitual mockers who like to have a little fun at the expense of people who try to turn manufactured racism into relevancy (among others).

I think you might be talking about a different thread, Icarus. This one’s about a curfew. And I haven’t seen any demands for apologies on the thread about the school superintendent.

Since this is the more active thread, I’ll say that I don’t really see the big deal about the Idaho remarks. But, as far as “Superintendent A” is concerned, I will defend the NAACP as far as to say that it’s not really in their mission statement to demand the resignation of every school superintendent (African-American or not) who is accused of something. I wouldn’t expect the Catholic League to weigh in on this case either.

We keep answering each other in separate threads right after we comment.

I think this will tip people off that you are me. Or that me is you. Or I am he as you are he as you are me and…
