Borders Out Of Mayoral Race

This is an odd turn of events.

I believe there has to be more to this story other than old and sick parents to spend time with.

I wonder if we will hear anything more from this man?

It’s Kasim Reed’s race to lose.
Mary Norwood will have difficulty getting past 40%.

Also Mary Norwood keeps asking “Tell me what it will take to make our city work for you”. Mary you’ve been on city council for eight years, if you need to ask what to do as mayor —
then you shouldn’t be the mayor.

Normally I’m “pro-borders” all the way. The border between the U.S. and Mexico, the “borders” between the 3 branches of government, “Church and state” ect… but in this case there was never an opportunity to really delve into the options.

You guys are counting out Jesse Spikes, the McKenna Long Aldridge attorney with a full pedigree of service to the City of Atlanta. Jesse is quietly racking up a big war chest that will be more than Kasim the Dream can muster, and Norwood won’t be even close. Stay tuned as this race develops. The business community likes Jesse.

When I talked with Clark Howard about this back in December he strongly felt he would stay out of it. He says his wife and kids did not want him to run. Whether that holds true today, I dont know. With so many people possibly in this race and its front runner dropping out, you will not need 50 % to win. You just need enough to get in a run-off.
