With Volkswagen’s announcement of building a $1 billion assembly plant by 2011 in Chattanooga, Northwest Georgia is scrambling to entice the company to consider it as a possible location for any of its anticipated supply facilities.

The plant being in TN a dozen miles from GA is better than it being in GA a dozen miles from TN.
Alabama will reap a quarter or more of the overall economic benefits of the West Point Kia plant though Georgia provides 100% of the $400M in tax breaks.
