The University of Georgia is bracing for possible layoffs as part of state-mandated budget cuts for all Georgia colleges.
Gov. Sonny Perdue asked every state agency to trim 3.5 percent from their budgets, but University System of Georgia Chancellor Erroll B. Davis told colleges to cut 5 percent. For UGA, that would mean about $20 million.

It is time to vote for a fiscal conservative. Someone who understands that you must reign in spending to cut taxes. You have to stop unfunded mandates to decrease property taxes. I am voting against the incumbents this year.
