If he is trying to say that 70’s era technology can disprove oil’s existence off of Georgia’s cost, he is an idiot.

It is likely not there because of the test wells reaching the end of the porous rock, but the technology has come a long way from the 70’s.

i do not know if there is oil off the coast of ga or not–if there is clearly we should drill for it–but i think that he fact that there may not be even though its been discussed is a relevant point to bring up in the discussion of new drilling–esp. in places w/ known oil like anwr–the eco loonies like to bring up all the acreage currently under lease by big oil and say–“hey if they want to drill for oil they need to do it in land they alrady lease” well i they have not done so already or have abandoned test wells or whatever–its likely they are not drilling in a lot of hat leased land b/c it would be a fruitless endeavor–i could lease my back yard to oil companies but it does not mean there will be anything there to drill–if we had started drilling anwr back in the 90’s when clinton stopped it that oil would b in the pipeline today–that seems like something that would be coming in pretty handy right now…

    dr jay,

Yeah, the Dems want to poo-pooh the pretty certain 7 year time scale solutions in favor of pie-in-the-sky 50 to infinity year time scale solutions, with nothing for the short term.

How people continue to vote for these morons remains a mystery.
