Savannah in Top 10

Savannah is ranked No. 9 on Travel + Leisure’s list of Top Ten Cities in the Continental U.S. and Canada, according to the magazine’s 2008 World’s Best Awards readers’ survey announced today.

This is the first time that Savannah has made it into the top 10 in the 13 years of the survey. New York City is listed as the best city in the U.S. and Canada and Bangkok is listed as World’s Best City.

    It’s a totally cool downtown. I’ve been there. Lots of historic stuff too. And statues. I like statues. Especially cool ones. And big horses that take a dump in the street. You take the good with the bad.

    We may need to inform some of our Atlanta posters that there are indeed places outside of metro Atlanta in the state.

    Moreland is now a suburb of Atlanta.

    I thought Savannah was annexed by South Carolina so they can build a new port or something.
