From today’s Savannah Morning News:
A liberal group is buying ads for U.S. Rep. John Barrow’s foe for the Democratic nomination in the 12th Congressional District. The Blue America Political Action Committee says it has bought space to promote state Sen. Regina Thomas of Savannah. The messages were due to begin running today in newspapers in Savannah, Augusta and other parts of the 12th District. The ad calls Barrow “George Bush’s rubber stamp” and blames the incumbent for high gasoline prices and “tax cuts for the rich.”
In the end, it probably isn’t going to help much.
Barrow’s campaign recently reported it had more than $1 million on hand as of June 30. Thomas said she had less than $11,000.
