New Ads Rolling Out Against Barrow

From today’s Savannah Morning News:

A liberal group is buying ads for U.S. Rep. John Barrow’s foe for the Democratic nomination in the 12th Congressional District. The Blue America Political Action Committee says it has bought space to promote state Sen. Regina Thomas of Savannah. The messages were due to begin running today in newspapers in Savannah, Augusta and other parts of the 12th District. The ad calls Barrow “George Bush’s rubber stamp” and blames the incumbent for high gasoline prices and “tax cuts for the rich.”

In the end, it probably isn’t going to help much.

Barrow’s campaign recently reported it had more than $1 million on hand as of June 30. Thomas said she had less than $11,000.

As much as it may disrupt ROGUE109 ‘s wishes, John Barrow has a comfortable lead against Regina Thomas. Regina is dumber than a bag of hammers and she let herself get talked into this Don Quixote crusade against Barrow by her close pal, Eric Johnson. Eric was looking to get rid of Regina as his fellow Senator from Savannah and cause problems for Barrow in the process. Eric has triumphed by getting rid of the lady who wears hats and utters idiotic comments but he will not beat Barrow…not by a long shot. Barrow will win in November and be an even more important Congressman as Jack Kingston’s flame continues to flicker.
