An Intriguing Dem Candidate For Governor in 2010

H/T to the liberal blog, “Aikido Center of Savannah,” and the note they took of a recent bit from Jim Wooten. It appears that the former Adjutant General of Georgia, David Poythress, may be headed toward a 2010 run for Governor.

For a change, he represents a credible challenge to keeping the Governor’s Mansion red. Very interesting…

Shouldn’t you have hat tipped your 7 year old for this breaking news, Dr.Jay?

i’m not going to spoon feed him–he can spend his spare time trolling the internet as well as i can–as long as his mom or i are present and he only goes to sites that we approve of in advance–but other than that the world is his oyster (well in any month w/ an “r” in it otherwise oysers are off limits as well…

Nothing personal against Poythress, as I think he’s basically a good guy, but it really shows the sad state of the Dem Party of Georgia if he is their best hope. I mean come on, a former Labor Commissioner who received 13% of the Dem Primary vote in the 1998 election for Governor?

Is their farm team so pathetic that there is a chance he’ll get the nomination.

As a staunch Republican I can tell you that Barnes is the one that gives me the most concern when it comes to the GOP retaining the Governor’s mansion.
