Dr. Jay’s 7 Year Old Has A Political Blog

It’s called Politics4Kids.

Dr. Jay tells me that mom does the typing while his son dictates. That is so freaking awesome!

Ohhh…I was under the impression Dr. Jay’s kid was going to blog about things like the politics of growing-up, negotiating with his parents, running for schoolyard president, debating whether or not ice cream or fruit popscicles would last longer on a summer day, and the thrills of shocking other kids with either eating bugs or programming his Nano.

  2. Bill Simon says:

But, to be more serious, it is pretty awesome that he knows that much about the presidents. Good start and good kudos to Jay & Tricia for raising a kid right!

its actually a little creepy how well he knows the presidents–he can list them in order and knows their parties and most of their 1st ladies and a lot of other random stuff…i’ll pass a long a message to him but you have to be able to think like a 7 year old to be able to add anything to the blog…he has big plans for it he really wants to gear it to other kids–he asked us if we could put pictures of mccain and obama up that kids could download and color–and then post the results as a “coloring poll”…we are trying to start him slow and see if he maintains interest–and we aren’t overly computery so we are having to learn wordpress on the fly–fortunately my brother in law is computery and helped him get started

i just got the “little dictator” comment–actually, the missus did while we were sitting in church this a.m….

tyler has had a busy week that he chronicles on the blog–he got to go on a birthday trip w/ his grandparents to the little white house in warm springs that he was very excited about–he also has an interview w/ gop congressional candidate john stone that he posted yesterday–his birthday is thursday and we are going to d.c. for a capital tour and he has a list of other stuff he has to see while he’s there…we need to figure out how to make his pictures larger or clickable or something…
