Found on Craig’s List

I’ve never heard of this guy but I just found it amusing that he has this up on Craig’s List.

We are looking for campaign workers to help canvass neighborhoods and busy intersections throughout metro-Atlanta and Fulton County. Shifts available for mornings, nights, weekdays and weekends.

If interested, please send an email with your contact information to: [email protected]

The Committee to Elect Patrick Labat Fulton County Sheriff

  1. Doug Deal says:

That’s one way of getting “volunteers”.

I wonder what you have to do to get $10, instead of $8? My second question is do I want to know?

  2. Game Fan says:

Maybe the extra $2 is for the folks that really BELIEVE in this guy and show extra passion. Or maybe it’s the other way around. It could be based on how good looking or ugly the person is. I heard the real ugly folks get a free “Day at the spa”. Just a rumor.

  3. Atl2008 says:

Actually, most of the people you see out on the street corners waving signs and passing out campaign literature (other than the candidates and their families). Most times candidate go to the Pine Street shelter in midtown or to the Job Corp and recruit people and pay them much less than this… I applaud them for putting people to work and for offering to pay as much as $8 to $10 per hour…which is probably too much. In this economy, not many people have time to volunteer on political campaigns…if they do, they’re all working on the “Obama Train”. There are too many other “worthy” causes out there to just volunteer to work for someone. They’d have to pay me too…
