Dysfunction Strikes Clarke County School Board

They’re clearly taking cues from Clayton County:

Clarke County’s interim schools Superintendent James Simms officially filed his letter of resignation Tuesday, harshly criticizing the Board of Education and accusing some board members of meddling in administrative affairs. But Simms said he’s willing to stay on and work with board members to try to resolve what he described as an aura of mistrust. Simms said he will leave his job July 18, citing months of frustration with school board members who he said overstepped their responsibilities and refused to support his personnel recommendations.
